It will all come down to which club out of them, Barnet, Forest Green and possibly Morcombe does best in the January market. The delay with the potential taker over doesn't seem to be helping things and Forest Green have already made two signings.

Latest rumour is that the potential new owners have missed the deadline to pay their non refundable deposit to take the club over. Oh dear :D

I thought all along that this takeover was a load of bull to try and perhaps persuade a local consortium to try and bid.

If Carson is to be believed, then they won't survive relegation. I can't see why they won't though, if they were actually ran properly.

Let’s hope we get to see if they do fold or not.

I'm worried, it's still possible they could overtake us and grab the last playoff spot.

They're catching us, even though we've double the amount of points!

This non-refundable deposit was apparently to pay for legal costs to conduct proper due dilligence on the potential new owners, and to draw up the deal.

No deposit = no money to do so.
This is my take on it from reading Bob's Board.

Dave Allen has supposedly promised Jack Lester some sort of backing in the window. Will be interesting to see how that materialises, especially on the back of a seemingly doomed takeover bid.

Will they have to sell to raise funds to fill out the squad? They are down to the bare bones and need more than just one or two signings, they probably require a good 5+
