The Derbyshire Times latest is that their takeover is close to complete

The entire article is quite laughable though and points to things only being agreed verbally, nothing signed at all, and dependent on a "Non-refundable deposit."

The article then goes on to say that without any input of capital either from the takeover or Dave Allen, the club would not survive.

Why would you say that when trying to sell the club? Surely that leaves the buyer open to knock down the asking price?
Smells very fishy if you ask me....

The potential owners are rumoured to be Chinese funded with links to South America. Sounds very strange. Thank goodness we have JR.

Head over to Bobs Board and it's full of abuse for Ashley Carson.

He then posts on there himself and says "Please be mindful if it doesn't go through"

Chesterfield fans have heard rumours of a Chinese group with ties to South America. With Carson being an Assay master, they've naturally linked this to a billion pound Chinese takeover of an Argentinian gold mine that happened recently.

Why a Chinese company with billions would buy a little League 2 club is beyond anyone's imagination, buy clearly not theirs

It just all seems off and like something Carson has yet again conjured up himself.

Leeds, Coventry & Leyton Orient to name a few of foreign owners or consortiums that have shown aren’t a good thing! If it is true (looks dodgy to me), id be very worried not happy like some of their fans!

I’ve read the thread on bobs board it seems to me that this Carson bloke is a bit of a pleb, it’s not easy to just buy a football club these days, you have to have any sale approved by the governing body, proper due diligence must be carried out, proof of not just funding but legit funding must be proven, owner must be a fit and proper person etc, then you get Carson quoting a non refundable deposit must be paid to carry on with the deal, it sounds more like the amateurish renting/buying of a sleezy bed sit than purchasing a failing football league club, everything I read about this Carson guy makes me feel like he’s another Haslam, their welcome to him. Who would spout of all the things he’s spouting off about before any deals signed, he’ll be announcing their signing Sol Campbell in the window next..
Down Down deeper than down for me conference North maybe.

They'll need the extra cash from a takeover to try and buy their way out of the Conference next season.

What did we have after 28 games? Their next three are Coventry and Accrington away then Luton at home.

They won't win a point in January I'm just hoping Vince at FGR puts his hand in his pocket n buys players to get out the bottom 2.... Last game for the sheep molesters is Barnet away

FGR will sack Cooper, bring in a new manager and give him a transfer kitty to survive.

Surely if they were to sack cooper for a new manager in Jan they'd already have done it

But if they do get points it will do us a favour. If we keep winning I'm not bothered too much what they do.
