Well he got rid of the horses and shut a brand new police station in Woodhouse, so he clearly has some clout.

I got the response I was expecting to be honest, however I thought I ask put questions directly to the main organ grinder, rather than moan about the monkey on Stagsnet.

I have a follow email for him too, as some of his response is factually inaccurate.

It can always be done, it's never not been an option.

The problem being is it's Notts plod who've an IQ of a fly. Wait until there's an accident on Nottingham Road - won't be the fault of MTFC at all.

It's THAT simple - hold back away fans for 5 minutes and problem solved - literally, THAT simple.

Any reason why this REALLY SIMPLE 5 minute rule can't be applied?

Because it's too simple! :D

That's one thing we can agree with

It really would be that easy though, hold them back 5 minutes

Yes you could keep back fans for 5 mins or so but people would still be waiting at the Burger King area. Though it's probably the best idea.
You could leave the gate open but before and after some would go round looking for customers, so for me , shut the gate, keep people apart (because some would be after it)and enjoy the game. If you think everyone would smile and politely wave to their hated rivals through the railings well, I give you Peterborough at home, QLE , a door kicked in and some of our finest ran into their toilets, and kicked off to anyone within reach. Middlesbrough in FA Cup, quite a brief but nasty experience with about 6 of the 'pride of boro', on that very corner, trying to stay on my feet.

So all of our and their law abiding citizens are now separated because of the actions of a few. Gabbitas gate? There is no other choice.

Or let's go one stage further and have mixed pubs? Well it'd certainly be a retro day.

Whereas I seriously hope it never happens, I wonder happens if Saturday is massively contraversial, there's a penalty, a red card, a last minute goal, everyone meets on Nottingham road and there's chaos, someone gets ran over

Worst case scenario and hopefully that'll never happen, but I trust that should such an event ever happen that would be the responsibility of Nottinghamshire police and not the club.

No bother with gabbitas - met him when standing with a few others on Tuesday and a nice guy - but those up above must worry when we all leave at the same time

Yep can't argue with that at all, except is 5 minutes enough?

You have to minimise trouble, and despite the hysteria on here, for me it's a sensible precaution .

Or you could keep them lot back for ten minutes which they’d probably prefer for their own safety, leave the gate open so people disburse quicker, then when it’s clear (they could use their radios!) let them out. Radical eh?!

I still haven't worked out why the Police haven't hired you as a public order consultant Dan?

Why keep them inbreds back 10 minutes after the game, when they'll hopefully be leaving early in their droves after getting smashed by us :P

No doubt the town will be wall-to-wall hi-viz on Saturday. Notts Police will have secured support from Derbyshire Police, South Yorkshire Police, Lincolnshire Police, The Met, The Swiss Navy and the Salvation Army as well as our usual cluster of statuesque stewards in order to control the marauding hoards.

A good day for house burglary?

It makes complete sense.

The argument that it can't be done was made to look rather daft by Coventry.

That said, there's plenty of things our police force can't do
