The only ref I have come across who is so far up himself he drives into ground driving huge Audi with a personal number plate. I still cringe thinking about his appalling performance in the Plastic Dons match. How this guy remains on the league list is a total mystery. A complete tool. Could easily end nine a side on Saturday.

That's him in a nutshell, thinks people turn up to watch him. He was ok against tranmere, but all his shockers are still fresh in the memory Southend away sending off Alabi, mk dons! Saturdays game will be a key game this season. We could have a great win against our rivals and top of the league and kickstart our season for promotion. If it goes the other way drysdale mare, Steve motivates the players to another Cheltenham shocker then it could get very very heated!

We've got better at diving and winning pens this season, so it could be good to have a ref like Drysdale. He's the same as Trevor Kettle - if he decides he's on your side, you've won. A lot may hinge on his early decisions and which set of fans sing "you don't know what you're doing" first to him. That'll probably determine which side he decides will win or lose.

Referee today

Postby robeyre » Sat Sep 30, 2017 5:46 pm

Can I say when I knew who wad refereeng today I was filled with dread. But I must say he handled a potentially difficult game well. I expected numerous booking and potentially a red card or two. The game was competed for and ofter they boil over. This game was sensibly handled and allowed to develop. OK there were some mistakes but hay we are all human!
This is the first time I've felt prompted to post about a referee but credit where due

I’m usually a critic of the officials, especially ones called Darren!

He did a good job today, & was pretty competent & fair. Well done Mr Drysdale! Now, I never ever imagined myself coming out with that!

Regularly spoke to the captains, explaining his decisions. Even Evans was well behaved

Echo the above. He was excellent and let the game flow. Only one yellow card in a local derby was brilliant. First time for ages Stags have not disappointed in front of a large home support

There’s normally a thread on here destroying him.

Maybe is because we won or maybe he did do well but I was happy with his performance and for me
to say that of him....

Agreed, the RAF just combed their hair and strutted around, and their referees were abysmal

so, we can't allow that he may have learned from past howlers, and actually improved as a referee?
most of us get better at our jobs the longer we do them.
perhaps he has too.

If I didn’t know he was the referee I would’ve been shocked to have found out it was him. I’d have given him an 8/9 out of ten as he wasn’t noticed at all.
