All we need now is for 'Sir Alan Meale(ticket)' to move over the M1 and set up as the new MP for their area!!! That would put the icing on the cake!!!

Even the sheep would reject the Meale ticket.

Great result for them today, losing by just the one goal to nil and they even won a throw in.

Luton went down to 10 men, and they still couldn't score.

I thought they had improved by keeping Luton down to 1 goal but they appeared to create and miss a lot of chances even with 10 men.

They look a bit leaky at the back.....

Is John Sheridan going to return as their manager ? He has left Oldham today by mutual consent.

They have two winnable home games coming up. Anything less than 3 points will set the alarm bells ringing if not already.

I can hear them from Forest Town and have done so for 6-7 weeks now. I can't sleep at night, and I've phoned the Prolapse to complain all I get is, 'you'll have to speak louder youth, I can't hear nothing cos of those bloody bells. Gary do something about it. Gary, Gary... where's Gary gone Doreen'?

I tend to put the phone down then and reach for the ear plugs.

By the way I'm half way through making my A617 bridge banner which'll be put up in May hopefully which says so far

They could get lucky with Lester, however appointing a rookie in their position is one hell of a gamble.

Fingers crossed eh ;)

Remember when Newcastle United emotionally appointed Shearer as their manager ended in relegation

A rookie manager who has only coached U18 kids, stuck with what he's got until January?
Well thought out appointment that

An appointment made by a bloke who has got all of his previous three appointments wrong, who goes on social media and swears directly at fans, oversees the whole operation that has dropped like a lead balloon and is surrounded by scandal after scandal....and he allowed Chris Turner to keep taking a salary for his sterling work.

What could possibly go wrong?

Looks like Lester, but not announced yet. It is a big gamble and goes against what their CEO said about appointing someone with experience of managing in league 2.
Their attendances are falling dramatically, so I think the appointment is more to get the fans back on board. He is called sir Jack by their supporters so it could work
I think they would have been better having Sheridan back. He knows league 2 and got Newport out of the mire not so long ago.
Interesting times.

Mm, a rookie manager appointed on emotional reasons. These appointments in dire situations usually exclusively end in tears.
