We know their pain, but I feel as sorry for them as they did for us.

What a calamity. As I said months ago; I don't want them to go to the wall but I do want them to do what Stockport have done.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Them and County revelled in our demise a decade ago revelling a banner saying "Mansfield Down FC" and singing about Haslam.
I for one am looking forward to their own demise. I hope they become the next season's Orient and follow York & Stockport.

Don't want them to go to the wall but I just cannot feel too sorry about their situation. They really put the boot in when we were so close to oblivion. Wish I was more of a philanthropist but my soul obviously isn't so forgiving

I wouldn't normally want any club to go to the wall, but I'm prepared to make an exception in their case.

Me too.
Looks like the natural order of things is soon to be restored.... the Stags back above the Chavs. Yeah sure there's been a 6/7 year blip... but things will soon be back to normal.
We've been on a journey... they're just about to embark on theirs. Will their fans pass the test as we did? We endured dark days... the darkest of days.. let's see how they cope.

The 'girls' on the moors have had an easy time of it recently while the menfolk of their town have had their attention focused on the shinanigans at the sheep dip.
The sales of wellies at B&Q have seen a very sharp rise over the last couple of months though as Spring is on the way.
It's gonna be tough, take care 'ladies'.

The SSS ( Spireite Sheep Sha gee rs) have learnt over the years to be ready early, otherwise they could end up with an ugly partner.

What made them more hilarious were the comments of their captain, Ian Evatt, prior to that game.
He was going on about the lack of desire from the players in the squad, as the club means nothing to them and they don't care enough etc....
He was at fault for the majority of the goals against Oxford and looked like a Sunday League defender

6/7 year blip? Its been a quarter of a century since we last finished above them in the league.
Lets not get ahead of ourselves just yet!
I agree with some others that whilst I would enjoy them having a spell in the conference, I would hate to see them go bust

Best not to gloat just yet. Apparently two different consortiums have shown an interest into buying the club. However, their CEO is currently on a business trip abroad.

Hope you fancy sitting in the home stands, the Blades will more than sell their allocation and probably be in the home stands too. They will almost certainly be celebrating going up and almost just as certainly as Champions.

I wonder how many thousands of Sheep lovers will actually go to this game?
After all the Sheffield clubs are their biggest rivals you know.
(A) 2,000 ?
(B) 3,000 ?
(C) 5,000 ?
(D) 20,000 ?
or
(E) Not very many because they will be very very relegated?
Such a crying shame really, they were so very close to the Championship!
