Just discovered that Witton Albion are out. That will teach me to rely on the Chad!!

I'll have to settle for Metropolitan Police or Haringey Borough.

Sunderland away would be nice. It would be a guaranteed draw and a replay at Field Mill. The FA have probably abolished replays though.

Just hope we get a replay. Not been to the Valley.

Not a bad draw, ex prem club should bring a thousand fans and not played them for ages.

We played them during our solitary season at current Championship level way back in 1977-78.
Stockholm, July 4, 2008, 15.00 GMT. Good news came, K.H. gone. March 1, 2012. Ground purchased.

Went to our only league game at The Valley, 2-2 draw in 1977.

Good draw. Home, versus a bigger team, with a decent chance to progress.

A rubbish draw would be Crewe or Stevenage away, Charlton from a higher league, ex Prem, should bring 1000, we should have 4000 there, and I've never seen Charlton play, so that will be my 85th FL team seen play!
And a replay would be a bonus! Or not if the games are stacking up.

FA Cup draw: Mansfield v Charlton.

Mansfield have only ever played Charlton 3 times before. In the league in 1977/78 (a 2-2 draw away and a 3-0 defeat at home), and in the league cup in 1972 (a 4-3 defeat away).

Didn't we sign Bob Curtis from Charlton Athletic in 1978 which was the last time we played them.

Great draw for me, the guy that sits opposite me at work is a Charlton season ticket holder.

From one forum:

"Another nice run-out for the kids - and maybe another record score?"

Smells of arrogance given we are only 1 league below. Personally happy we've drawn a small club from London. ;)

Aren't they still having problems with their owners, something we can relate to, so maybe they should look at that, rather than the standard scabs stuff, do they even have mines in Charlton? Gold mines probably...
Let them be over confident!
