Agreed one of the worst away days of the season but beats sitting in a bed sit with a cat and a budgie, so count me in

Nothing, it's a nice place to visit, been dozens of times - usually costs me a packet when I go with the wife, leave her shopping whilst I go to the match!

Cambridge is a beautiful city. I think the main issue for not liking the ground is that there's no parking and not many pubs nearby, that's what most people judge an away day on these days. If you are heading into the city before the match leave plenty of time to get there as Newmarket Road gets jammed up pretty badly.

Exactly, good weekend with wifey, but glad to get out on a day trip, Kernow has said SSA bus load get into club but by and large they don’t like away fans in if you are later than bus. If you don’t get in you need hiking boots to get a drink

And the away end is terrible, seems to generate no atmosphere.

Plenty of parking on the housing estate as you walk down to the ground. Never had any issues parking there.

Cambridge United,
The Abbey Stadium the scene of my most enjoyable and memorable Away game ever.
I hope Stevo has the TBT for it on Twitter tomorrow.

Although it's been a while since I lived there - there's 3 decent pubs I knew of on the Newmarket Rd (corner house, the wrestlers and seven stars), and the Greyhound not too far away, but I think the Greyhound is home fans only. There's also a lovely little pub which used to be my local called the Green Dragon, 10-15 mins walk to ground, across bridge over River Cam and then across Stourbridge Common, over the road from ground. That said it's been 20 year since I lived there so bet they've all gone now!
Parking - Stanley Road is where I used to live and there were no restrictions there when I was around. 10 mins walk to ground.
Anyone remember a game from c.1997 when they beat us by 6 or 7 and it rained, snowed, hailed and was glorious sunshine all in 90 mins?

See no reason, why not

Have been to 39 grounds 10 times or more and Abbey Stadium is on that list.
