That form of football has its limitations as you go further up the ladder.

Their football bypasses 'Area 51'.

No it doesn't. They lump it up to Akinde, or Rhead standing in the bronze squarcle, how is that bypassing the purple polygram?

The whole point of 'Area 51' is to have a skilful player in possession of the ball in that zone in order to make a jinking run or a killer pass (like Khan did on Saturday on a few occasions), not a big lump flicking the ball on from a long ball.

A foul "every 28 seconds" that Lincoln had the ball?

They reckon that the ball is in motion for roughly on average 60 mins of a match.
Lincoln are quoted as having 43% of possession.
These statistics equate to Danny Cowley being a bloke who you'd avoid sharing a leisurely drink with at all costs.

Maybe he's discounted the amount of time that the ball spent hurtling it's way through the air after a Lincoln long punt as "possession" and only counted the time Lincoln had the ball on the ground, during which time we fouled them every 28 seconds...

Whatever we think of The Cowleys, they understand how to get success in lower league football. In terms of how they see a game afterwards though, they suffer from the same one sided delusional interpretation of a match that we witnessed under Billy Liar Evans.

Some gimps with blinkers on were shouting “hoof” when we knocked it forward. Admittedly their football is a bit better currently, but it’s been a long time since they have seen anything but direct, physical football at Sincil Bank. Shouting hoof at the opposition is equally as deluded as The Cowleys crying about our bully boy tactics.

Can’t wait to beat them in the league.

I was walking behind a Lincoln fan up Sincil Bank last night and he turned to his friend and said "This club and city will crumble into dust when the Cowleys eventually leave."

The last few seasons have been special times for Lincoln fans. They need to enjoy them while they last. The same for us with JR.

Very good post ....

He is clearly a very good man manager and tries to get the best out of all his players. You also do not have to play at a high level to be a good manager.

Most managers like a good whinge when things do not go their way. It's all part of the qualifications to become a Master of the Dark Arts. I liked David Flitcroft's response as well.

He's right, journalists are rightly stirring things up, obviously DF was responding to Cowley's comments and I think Cowley is right to leave it at that. Clearly he has a one eyed view of the match and some of his post match comments were bizarre, but I do not think he is alone in that - just read our score threads every week

The Cowley's came to speak at my son's awards evening last night, they spoke very well and go to all these awards evenings at all the schools in and around Lincoln - there is little wonder they are so popular around these parts.

When you view the Cowleys on match day, they’re not far off Evans and Raynor, constantly moaning at the ref, throwing their dolly out of the pram, intimidation - complaining about everything post match, sore losers.

Like Evans, they may go to make a good manager, but they’re well on their way to following in fatmans footsteps, and aren’t generally liked by u opposition fans.
