it looked liked he tweaked something, or a Colchester player got a slight touch on him. When do you see Pearce feigning injury?

When he did yesterday, then got up and played on, after shrieking from a slight touch.
I assume the OP is talking about the incident when MacDonald did some sort of two footed scissor kick on Pell, which he was very lucky to get away with.

It looked to me like Macca was fouled which then knocked him off his feet into Pell. We got the free kick so the referee saw it that way too. Pell got booked either for something he said or for his miraculous recovery/deception.

This embarrassing play acting is an aspect of the modern game that will eventually drive me away from watching football. I can no longer watch Premier Division games for that reason alone. We used to laugh at foreign players rolling around in international matches thirty years ago. Unfortunately those antics have now become a part of domestic football too.

She sits and watches grown adults play professional football and frequently raises her eyebrows in disgust.

Good on her I say, it's great she's doing something, engendering team spirit and athletisism. Has to be more fun than sat in some sh1tty bus shelter staring at a phone screen.

every header went straight to the opposition, every kick sliced wildly to the left, then went to the opposition.
