Did anyone see the article in the 'Home' section about Carolyn and Radford Towers? Must've spent an absolute pile on the renovation of the place.
17 bedrooms
She took the project on herself (didn't do all the work obviously
) and said she found it very daunting.

And still people question what first attracted her to multi multi millionaire John Radford.

Its really easy to just appoint a builder to renovate a property when you have a limitless budget while assuming the executive project manager role.
I renovated a rental property in Nottingham, stripped it back to re-wire, put in central heating, new kitchen and bathroom, white goods, flooring and carpets, decorated; £12k. Doing work i could myself. Got rediculously cheap kitchen from Howdens for 2k through a mate. Rents out at 600quid a month.
The renovation works added 35k to the price i paid for the property. Winner.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Ironically I've only this week shaved a few mill of the underside of the kitchen door using a plane that I had to source of a man and woman who lived in the same house as me for the first twenty-five years of my life.

Wow that couch wouldn't fit in my front room and the metal frame log store by the fireplace in the hall would fill my kitchen
Some dosh to slosh there and good luck to them as they have worked for it.

Yep. I knew the previous owner. I went to the house a few times in its previous state. Have to say it looked better before, but each to their own. At least the Radfords have restored it after it was decaying for 3 years.

I hope you weren't too daunted by that epic undertaking, Doomy?
It's only a matter of time before Blaize Falconburger does a report on it

It's similar, in some respects, to Chez Wilfred. We've got a roof and walls too.
Seriously. It looks fantastic.
And, after what they've done for The Stags, I don't begrudge the Radfords one bit. Good luck to 'em.

I take these kinds of home improvement tasks in my stride to be honest. It's a big reason behind why females have been happy to take houses off of me in the past.
