I was speaking to a person who is in the know at Ilkeston and he told me that MTFC caused them to go bust as they had to pay us£100.000 compensation over the Rickets. Thompson situation.I never realised this.

Or their manager for not dragging him off, or the ref for not sending him off. Who cares the horrible little club tried to defend him so stuff 'em.

I have sympathy for any fan who loses their club, but as a club they behaved appallingly and brought it all on themselves.

Even worse for them is that they're now owned by that egg headed two-hat from Clownty.

Will we get compensation if Pearce is mentally scarred from the weds game?
What happened to Thompson was physical and mental pain.
whatever was said to Pearce must of triggered a pain that I've never encountered luckily
regards to both players

I do hope you put the record straight with this plonker.
A. It was Ricketts who was on a mission that night to see how many folk he could hospitalise.

B. Mansfield Town and their players are the innocent parties here.

C. What was Thompson supposed to do with his face splattered all over the place, just say, 'Oh never mind'.

D. Were not Ikeston insured.

E. They deserve everything they got in not controlling that thug and hauling him off.

Begs the question why Ilkeston did not take Ricketts off ?

In my opinion it is Ricketts and his manager who are responsible for those events and the consequences.

I understand Ilkeston FC actually folded in 2017 due to an unpaid bill owed to an office equipment firm. I'd be extremely surprised if they didn't have insurance cover for personal injury. The phoenix club Ilkeston Town FC are owned by our friend Alan Hardy.
