I dont think Anderson is realistic with recent comments made.

Yeah, CJ definitely. Atkinson would be fine there.

Square pegs in round holes though, Cj can do a job but it takes a lot away from his game because he is so left footed.

He's done fine in pre-season so far. Hayden White has looked way better at CB than he ever has at RB.

Digby feels he's a midfielder, he wanted guarantees of game time in Central midfield. Who here would choose Digby as first choice in the middle. Good backup but he wants game time. I would wager that Digby asked for a transfer and Flitcroft obliged.

The same as Atkinson, but he probably got a shock and backtracked when nobody wanted him.

Would describe Digby as one of those players who will go into the MTFC annals of did a decent job and was never really given the full chance he maybe deserved and wish him well and good signing for FG if they need midfielder.
By all accounts he kept going and did not spit his dummy out fully knowing he would probably never play for us!

Digby prefers a midfield role but all of his previous managers think he is a defender.

asking a lot there tippy, were lucky to sell the players as we normally let their contracts run out and lose our best players on free transfers

Useful player, works as a defensive midfielder or a defender. Nothing flashy about his game but he does the job and is perfect to keep on the bench as cover. Perhaps he doesn't like that and wants to start more games, in which case he may be better off at FGR. I'm not sure who the utility player is now for that role.

My Ipswich supporting mate laughed when we signed him. Said he was bonk

the only good game I remember him having was against Lincoln away. Loads on Facebook whining like we've just lost a key player , he had potential but could never break into the team consistently

Anderson has never been a wing back. Make shift right back at a push.
The Stags are for life, not just for cup finals. (or Liverpool).

Anderson and Digby are average. Thank god we can free up some money. Hope Anderson goes soon too.

I agree, did Anderson chip in with any goals or assists last year? He's played at good teams at a higher level, but it didn't look like it when you saw him play. I like him as a person, comes across well spoken with a good attitude but if he's on big money like everyone says he is then I'd ship him too.

I think Digby is a good player. It is a shame he didn’t find his role at MTFC. I reckon he will do well at FGR

I can see him developing into a really good defensive midfielder, so lets hope there is a sell on clause or we could well be doing another Clucas.

Rated Digby but we have plenty in midfield. Will do well given a good run in the team. Good signing for FGR in my opinion in that doesn’t sound too disrespectful.

Digby was a decent, versatile back-up player, but he never commanded a position in the first eleven. So provided that we bring in a good centre-back, he shouldn't be missed too much.

Saw most of his games for reserves last season, he is no loss. Full support the decision to let him go.

Always amazes me when they are here they may as well be a chair in the boardroom when we get rid (for money no less) it's like we have lost the 2nd coming of Pele.

The problem was, the then manager signed too many midfield players. Digby may be a good player, but unfortunately didn't get a consistent run in the team to show his worth. Like too many last season.
