Caught a bit of it. From what DF said, I think it’s Coventry in for Rose. He spoke of strikers moving and that knocking on down the chain. I think he’ll be offski.

Add Posh and Charlton into that list.

Think there was also rumours that Spireites may be in for Angol, they've just got O'Grady off their books.

Not a chance they could afford him or that he’d drop to tin pot non league.

Absolute madness to sell both unless we receive at least £1 million.

I guess it's also a matter of balancing the books, I don't think I would sell both, but can we afford to turn down several hundred thousand pounds for players with a year left in their contracts who can go for nothing next summer? I really rate OSJ and Graham so with those two as back up I still think we'd be OK, though if we do sell both it would not surprise me if we picked up another striker before the end of the transfer deadline.

Danny Rose is under contract until 2020.

If we sold both, surely we would have to buy another striker. Doidge?

if both go we are left with Davies and Walker who I dont think have passed to each other this pre season and Jordan Graham. OSJ is a attacking midfielder.

What is going on? All this 3 days before the season starts.

Regarding Danny Rose for me now is the best time to sell, His stock is still high, he is still worth a decent fee. I dont feel he will start many games this season, therefore his price will drop.

He is an instictive player who is great in the air, but poor when he has time on the ball.

This is mental. I hope contingencies are in place and if a move does happen we simply press the button to bring in their replacements.

Padraig Amond?
Danny Rowe?

We cant rely on further loanees.

DF must rate rose. the amount of one on one times that rose and DT have is quite a lot. He was getting put through his paces a few times in gym this week.

If he didnt, DT's time would be best spent on other players?

Think you're right Bellwhiff. I've got a friend who's a big Cov supporter. They were looking at Rose even before they sold McNulty. They are meant to be looking at Rose and Chaplin from Pompey as replacements.

Oh OK, nevertheless, with a 2 year contract his price is higher, I still can see why the club would sell if he is not part of the 1st eleven plans, which it appears he might not be. As for Angol, an absolute no brainer if we are offered 200k +, he has been very disappointing and whilst I was hopeful he would have a better season, I think it right if we have a decent offer to move him on. Like you, I suspect if we sell both we may sign another striker, though I am pretty sure OSJ is a striker despite your denials

Very disappointing if we sell Rose, he is our best striker at present, the new lads could take months to gel. Looks like both Rose and Angol are off to balance the books, we are still suffering from the Evans factor and his scattergun approach to signing expensive players that we now cannot shift. If they both go, we will not be promoted.

Promotion is difficult to achieve as we long suffering fans know, so that's not a very bold statement London

To sell both would be absolutely mental and would put us in a worse position than what we were last year in my opinion. We’re supposed to be strengthening to go up not having a threadbare strike force. Surely they won’t both go?

I think DF confirmed what the problem is.

He lined up one of two loan centre halves from the Premiership but did not progress it, not because they did not fit the bill but because of finances.

The "walk away" manager's scattergun approach is still haunting us.

Goals win games. If we sell our goalscorer we need another one in. Its that simple.
