Excellent write up John I agree with everything you have put .

End of the day , the Ref should of taken action . Forestieri was on a mission to cause trouble . I'm surprised the Wednesday coaching staff didn't take him off .
The bloke had the mardy ass on . He was outplayed by league two players and hardly got a sniff . He should of been sent off . Last thing we needed was more injuries , especially to our defenders .
Something caused Pearce to react the way he did and if it is racially motivated then he needs banning . The rest of our players wouldnt of got involved unless it was something bad .
The Wednesday fans piping on about how tough the guy is and that's the type of player they want in their team
The bloke ran off faster than Forestieri Gump.
All the sorry turn of events could of been avoided if the Ref had done his job and I hope the F.A look into his performance but I doubt they will .
Credit due to DF for assessing the situation and hauling KP off.

Dread to think what would have happened if DF hadn't acted as he did.

I hope it doesn't impact on the start to the new season.

Well before any physical contact occurred Pearce was angry with Forestieri, presumably because of something he said.
I was anticipating some retribution and Forestieri seemed to invite that a few minutes later. It was difficult to follow what happened next, but Flitcroft's timely intervention certainly saved Pearce from getting more involved than he needed to be.

Just been on the owls forum.

Got to say i really dislike Wednesday. Many a thread about last night and the unquestioned backing of Forestieri and that we're just a bunch of thugs blah blah blah.

Hope they finish bottom.

Blind support for a player that has tried to leave on numerous occasions. I would hate to have a player here that clearly doesn't give a toss.

Always thought they were an odious club.

I suppose that is the positive to come from the trouble at the end of the game. The way our entire squad, management & staff were quick to get onto the pitch did show the spirit and togetherness at the club.. even though you could argue most of them were chasing Forestieri

Just looked at the comments on the Weds forum - no acceptance of any responsibilty and v conveniently no reference to the racial element or forestieris previous or desire to leave

We should bear in mind that some of the posts will have been made by people who aren’t v bright or werent there.

Have to say , the more I see the more I want DF to be succesful

Talking about racial abuse . I was told today that a female Stags fan was banned either today or yesterday because of it. Anyone else heard about it ?

Another reason to dislike them after last nights incident.

The first reason, that bloody England band.

Other than that the drummer and the goon squad. Irritation level = Canesten 60 litres.

They are. Something puzzles me though. Why do Chelsea fans also side with Wednesday historically? They will fight side by side if they have to. Don’t understand it myself. Much prefer SU and they are the City club too!!!

Interesting footage particularly of KP and FF just before the bad tackle and first brawl.

On a slightly lighter note, i'm surprised nobody has mentioned the rather impressive Callisthenics from the svelte gentleman approx 5 mins into this vid.
