No one hurt or career ended in this game thankfully.

I remember John Thompson's injury, against Ricketts I think?

Seems like summer friendlies are open season for dicks and thugs

Perhaps that tweet should be removed from here too now we know why it kicked off?

I've never seen Kystian Pearce get as mad as that before. Hopefully we can use this as a positive to bring the squad together. Is there a photo of Lewis Gibbens' kung fu kick?

I hope it hasn’t. I’d like to see a bit of justice getting dished out.

I expect Dan will be putting highlights together later today. You can see the goals already though during the Flitcroft interview on youtube. Not seen anything from Sheff Wed side. They asked us for our footage, not sure if we gave it to them.

Common sense prevailed thank god

I was very close in the queue at the IGU turnstile ,behind the man with the drum who was forcibly restrained turned around and refused entry into the ground. He was not a happy chappie and sat on the ground with his drum at the side of the barriers near the turnstile area. Dont know if he later got past the turnstile but the person banging a drum in q block was not the same person. This person was much younger and no where near as thick set as the person who was reused entry by the stewards. Didnt look like common sense was prevailing to me at any point. The stewards were talking to him about sex and travel and he was demanding his money back in a similar language

The guy who was refused entry and sat on the ground in some kind of mardy protest wasn't the drummer, he was a typical footbal yob shouting abuse at the stewards and expecting them to tolerate it, even after being warned to calm down. No club needs supporters like that, good job done by the stewards for refusing him entry.

Someone has put a slow-mo zoom video on twitter which appears to show Lee Angol running into the melee with a raised boot. Cue a comment about fastest Angols moved or something along those lines.

How can you tell it's slow-mo?

New footage here showing Forestieri tackle, and the brawl at the whistle. Mellis in trouble.

Both clubs will be fined for failing to control their players.

Think you're right, don't think bans can be issued for friendly matches as far as I'm aware.

Depends also if anything comes of alleged racist incident.

The real aggressive ones from us is Mellis, Looks like he punched and then kicked one of their players. Rest of what you can see from the video is pushing and shuving.

Agree both fined, FF will face further investigation with regs to racist allegations, more so if Pearce reports matter to the old bill.

Excellent write up John I agree with everything you have put .

End of the day , the Ref should of taken action . Forestieri was on a mission to cause trouble . I'm surprised the Wednesday coaching staff didn't take him off .
The bloke had the mardy ass on . He was outplayed by league two players and hardly got a sniff . He should of been sent off . Last thing we needed was more injuries , especially to our defenders .
Something caused Pearce to react the way he did and if it is racially motivated then he needs banning . The rest of our players wouldnt of got involved unless it was something bad .
The Wednesday fans piping on about how tough the guy is and that's the type of player they want in their team
The bloke ran off faster than Forestieri Gump.
All the sorry turn of events could of been avoided if the Ref had done his job and I hope the F.A look into his performance but I doubt they will .
