It used to be Oggie ( Ogden ) in Paul Cox's day. He found us Green and Clucas.

Don't know who since then.

Adam Murray made some good signings. So he must have had a decent scout.

It'll be a basic setup. Someone to go to games of our next opponent and recommend players that way. When a player recommendation comes I'd I'd wager someone like Coops will be sent to a couple of matches and see how said player fares.

If the plan is to promote youth then we don't need a scouting network for the first team just a basic knowledge of the players and agents pass their name around. Any manager worth their salt would have quite a few contacts in football to get an idea of how a player plays and if he will fit in a team.

Remember, our very own Martin Shaw scouted CJ Hamilton! We will have a scouting/recruitment network for our youth teams looking at school/County matches for example. The problem we have is forest will also have scouts there.

I heard that DF just phones up Keith Hill, the Rochdale manager and asks what the Rochdale scouts know.
We might win against Accrington next time, if we ever play them again.

Maybe so. The bonus behind that method is its far cheaper. Rochdale will have knowledge of players and they can say whether someone's good. The downside to that is they will know of good players first and if we get promoted they may not want to share much anymore.

We may very well have our own network in place. We really should invest in that area, especially if we harbor ambitions of getting to the championship. Its very easy to say when it's not my money though. We could, as I said above, already have a network in place. We don't see them because there'd be no point them scouting us!

Isn’t it about time that you dropped the name calling of the manager?

I’ve already made that point very clearly. It’s one thing to call someone a belmer from time to time, but calling the manager something so disrespectful all the time is just pants.
