Now this isn't a moan, because personally I think he's a good signing, and I am chuffed with it...
But I think a few fans need a warning that Craig Davies will polarise the fanbase a bit. We all have the one or two moaners that sit in and around us who have to have their chosen target for boo-boy of the season, and I think he will be a prime candidate given the level of expectancy and the thought that he's highly likely to be on a good wage.
He comes across as lazy, to put it simply, and he's usually on on penalties too, which I expect he will be for us. Like a much more expensive, but a million times better version of Rob Duffy if you will. Don't expect him to be the workhorses that Hemmings and Rose were last season, don't expect him to chase down poor balls beyond him and not just stand there and moan at the instigator of the poor pass....because he will.
But give him the right service, the right balls into him, and he can be devastatingly good at what he does....and he will score goals.
However there will be games when that supply line will be off it, and inevitably Davies will look uninterested. And that will be prime ammunition for the moaners.
Hopefully we are on it more often than not this coming season, because he will be the "different" type of striker we need...the one we all hoped Spencer was, and before him Pat Hoban, and before him Matt Rhead etc etc
