Training with Bolton in South of France? Nice one.

With the initials DT I'd call him "Shakey".

Be quality signing when goes through. Played a huge part in Burys promotion season. Big physical presence and another leader.

Bury fans love him but apparently he has knee problems where he cannot train or play twice a week.

Works fine as back up then... He played a few consecutive games last year and was their captain... Id take him.

If we can afford that kind of player and put up with the reduced playing situation if this is true then good for us.

I'm not so sure . We don't know how Mirfin will peform again after his bad injury . Preston missed nearly half of last season through injury . If Peace gets ijuryed then I wouldn't fancy our back up optons . If we are going to sign someone then sign someone who is capable to play every game if needed

Agreed, would be a shame because our defence has been good for a few years now.

If that's the case maybe we should hang on to Digby. He can play centre half, right back and central midfield. Unless we can sign someone who is as versatile.

I would definitely keep Digby. He looked decent at times, but I suppose he is a good wage.

Flitcroft certainly seems to analyse every aspect of any signing ,surely a good sign :coys:

It's a catch 22. Sometimes you can over analyse or spend so long analysing that someone else takes a risk on them.

The other side of the coin is like Evans' approach of sign him he's good, sign him he's good. Then not knowing what to do with his adundance of midfielders on good money. As we saw though that approach did work to a degree but was very expensive.

I can't say for sure but if this is the approach he took at Swindon last season they too were doing quite well (before Evans decided Chinatown in Peterborough was the way forward)

It comes as no surprise to me that Flitcroft's early signings were players who he was already familiar with. Even Cameron he's foliar with but wants him to prove his fitness first. It's a good sign.
