Played 30odd games for Scunthorpe last season. Maybe it’s a player coach role and

Its called cutting your cloth to suit what you can afford. Season ticket sales down by 1000 already on last season at a cost of £250000 to £400000 to the club depending on age replaced by 300 QLE deals at £20 each. Do the maths its a couple of good strikers.

Bit much of that budget is already used on contracts for players who Flitcroft doesnt want. So not quite the same ans Evans had a clean slate.

Which means he will have to offload the rubbish Evans bought in to sign others.

No early bird offer will always mean some will leave season tickets later.

As for Mr Bishop we where crying out for a holding midfielder last year and year before in this day and age being 37 in L2 is not really an issue.

The midfield had no general or experience last season which led to them often drifting out of games.

A tad older than you’d like, but would be a great signing - put him next to a pacey lad - which we’ve a few of - and you’re sorted.

Look at ned jelly the season we went up, experience is just what this side needs

Anyone who thinks this wouldn't be a brilliant signing needs to step away from the Tipex.
He's EXACTLY what we need.
These are my opinions , if you don't like them I have others...

If he’s still got it then he’ll be a great signing, we need to play to his strengths and have others round him to cover off any weaknesses as per any team it’s all about balance

I'm not saying he wouldn't be a bad signing but come on , there are players out there who are a lot younger and with the same ability .

He’s played 80+ games in the last 2 seasons, His fitness isn’t going to be an issue. Would be a very good signing, Just what we need and might allow Mellis to push forward abit and show us his quality.

His experience will be brilliant with the youth team lads aswell.

People should know by now to just wait and see, it is legitimate concern about age but at the same time he’s been doing well for a L1 play off team.

Do you honestly think somebody of Bishops calibre will come cheap? Especially considering ourselves and Lincoln were both in for him.
