an excellent following, of course boosted by the numbers at Notts County and Chesterfield.

The exact Mansfield figure was 783 755 (not 778).

(edit - I have amended my figures- - thanks Pete)

Be interesting to see where your figures differ to make that.

Did we have any away games this season that we only have estimates avaliable?

Here are my calculations just for league games

1391 Luton Town
1278 Lincoln City
1264 Coventry City
784 Mansfield Town
701 Notts County
671 Grimsby Town
645 Swindon Town
535 Wycombe Wanderers
518 Chesterfield
482 Exeter City
473 Port Vale
412 Carlisle United
352 Cambridge United
342 Newport County
306 Crewe Alexandra
293 Colchester United
260 Cheltenham Town
222 Accrington Stanley
220 Barnet
209 Stevenage
197 Yeovil
193 Forest Green Rovers
129 Morecambe
122 Crawley Town
500 Average

I am not sure how you equate your figures Martin, is it including cup games as well? as your average for league games is 783

My only difference for the Stags figures to the ones on your fixture list is the Swindon one.

Swindon tend to print the away followings in later match programmes. In Mansfield's case they have printed 568 against your figure on the day from them of 544. In the averages this would only make mine one extra ( 24/23 matches)

As others have said an excellent following.
Can we play Accrington Stanley every week.

Another interesting feature is the number of visitors at each ground

1164 Notts County
825 Coventry City
725 Chesterfield
584 Barnet
580 Lincoln City
559 Mansfield Town
545 Forest Green Rovers
532 Cambridge United
528 Crewe Alexandra
486 Port Vale
476 Stevenage
475 Cheltenham Town
451 Wycombe Wanderers
449 Luton Town
448 Swindon Town
426 Grimsby Town
415 Crawley Town
393 Accrington Stanley
383 Yeovil
355 Colchester United
338 Morecambe
328 Newport County
310 Carlisle United
224 Exeter City
500 Average

Clubs with high figures here are on to a winner cashing in on the cash of away followers.

As you might imagine Notts Co with there big away section have minted it this year, whereas Exeter with their building works and restricted away section have suffered as a result.

thanks Pete. You are right, my average should be 783. My apologies. I have amended my figure.

The Swindon discrepancy I can't explain. But I will stick with the original figure. As you say it only makes a difference of 1 to the average.

They have probably got them from here https://reeshowls.wordpress.com/2018/05 ... g-2017-18/
Interestingly our overall away following is over 20% of our home fans. Top of the table. Obviously boosted by 3 local derbies plus Coventry.

Where are we in the Lge2 home attendances table? I'd imagine Johnny'd be more interested in that.

We averaged 4308 per home league game. Not too bad.Hope for a higher average next season. If we are in the top 5 we should get more than the above figure.

6747 Notts County
5932 Swindon Town
4629 Chesterfield
4299 Carlisle United
4254 Wycombe Wanderers
4232 Grimsby Town

Coventry's figure was skewed by a near on 28,000 crowd where they did an offer of cheap tickets against Accrington

Here is the list of home gates including away fans

9255 Coventry City
8782 Lincoln City
8676 Luton Town
7911 Notts County
6380 Swindon Town
5354 Chesterfield

so 12th overall but down to 13th when you exclude the away fans at the Mill.
