Really don't like Hylton, but if he banged em in in stags colour I couldn't care less!

He's almost a Luton legend and easily good enough for League 1.

There's about as much chance of him leaving as there is of me feeling bright and sparkly on a Monday morning.
i would prefer not to.

Won’t sign any of them.

Also not sure we would be even looking at Akinde. He would demand a large fee, just got over an injury, nearly 30 and only scored 7 goals in 32 games last season.

We had fanciful talk of these exact players last year. We couldn't afford any of them.

Serious question: what makes people think that situation has changed?.... Sun on the brain?

people are gonna be setting themselves up for disappointment when Marquis, Collins, Hylton, Akinde, Doidge etc don't show up.

I think there is a legitimate chance Collins will leave Luton IF a certain fee is met.

Agreed, last summer we were told to expect championship forwards or whatever, and we ended up with Kane Hemmings - the forward most came to love but had such a ridiculously bad final touch it was unreal. He’s a typical league 2 player who leads the lines well but can’t finish. If we start next season with rose and hemmings we’ve no chance - one of them needs to move on.

We’ll end up getting something similar. Just as long as the player fits in.

I'd be looking to get Hemmings back in and another 'top' striker if we can. Hemmings should not be dismissed, he missed some chances but he still scored 15 after joining us late, and then having a rough start. If he started scoring from the off next season I'd fancy him to get 20 goals and his link up play as we know is great.

Are him and Rose good enough to fire us to promotion as a pair? Maybe not, but still both very good options and if we can bring in another goal scorer as well we'll have some good options. I'd be more than confident we'd have enough up top with Hemmings, Rose, Angol and Akinde for example, though it's unlikely.

I have mixed feelings over Akinde . The games I've seen him play against us I was never that impressed , bar one game .where he did OK . I know he was injured last season but by all accounts he looked a shadow of his former self . I worked with a few Alfreton fans and became good friends with them and they said he was overrated and not in the same class as Hearne and Clayton when at the club .
But saying that , he has had a couple of good seasons with Barnet and a good goal scoring record . His physic is something that we are missing .

Not sure about Chris Hussey. He was a top quality League 2 left back but he's now 29 and has only made 25 league starts in the last two seasons. Would he just be looking for a final pay day? He also allegedly threw a punch at a Swindon Town fan after they lost at Newport County and was banned for five matches. He would never cope with Critics' Corner between the West/IG Stand and QLE.

Hylton is the best forward player in league 2 . Good if he’s on your side, horrid to play against but he won’t come north and on a good contract. Akinde not in same class.

His former gaffer Allen says Akinde could play higher than League 2 if he had a good work ethic, says it all really.

Do you take the gamble or leave well alone?

If he signed all them we'd have 3 left backs, not something Flitcroft would do considering his remarks about Evans' recruitment.

As for Dennis, I'd take him. Just because he was in aside that was relegated doesn't mean he's rubbish. Look at us when we went down,we had Boulding.
