How do the 7 play off places work?

And didn't ebbsfleet only get promoted from conf south last season?

He confirmed: “Under the new format, all playoff matches will be played over a single leg in a qualifying round, semi final and promotion final.

“The club finishing 2nd and 3rd will automatically proceed to a semi final at their home ground.

“The clubs in 4th and 5th will stage qualifying round ties against the teams finishing 7th and 6th.

“The winners of those matches will then complete the semi final line up.

“The format involves the same amount of matches as now. With six clubs competing, it will increase the interest levels.

“The same format will also apply in the North and South completions with finals being played at a club ground.”

0-0 90 mins. Extra time to be played

Ebbsfleet certainly the better side in the second half and missed a penalty. Poor penalty from the normally reliable Danny Kedwell.

Ebbsfleet carpark win.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Ebbsfleet win on penalties. One of the worst games I've seen for a while, followed by the best penalty shoot-out. Incredible. Two great saves by the Shots keeper. Aldershot 3-1 up after 3 each and it's almost all over. Then Aldershot miss two and Ebbsfleet score two. Then the Shots keeper, who should have been the hero, is the villain as he hits the post. Unbelievable.

Ebbsfleet have great spirit. And that gives them a chance at Tranmere in the semi-final on Saturday. Though Tranmere will rightly be the favourites.

Kidderminster and Stockport both lose at home in National league north also. Bradford Park Avenue and Chorley the respective winners.

Not so long ago that we were coming up against Kiddy and Stockport

Bradford PA and Chorley join Harrogate and Brackley in the semi finals

In the conference its that spirit what wins most games. Just the determination levels alone can swing a game.

I like the new format. League 2 will never give another relegation spot so this in the next best thing.

I wouldn't mind Ebbsfleet coming up . A few of us stopped at Southend for the weekend . Got the train to Tilbury then got the Gravesend ferry across the thames . It was interesting after a few pints .

With the game at the shots going to extra time I flicked over after watching Liverpool limping into the final just in time to see the equaliser from fleet n the incredible penalty shootout

Not in the slightest bit interested in Premier League or Champions League. Night before while Real-Bayern was on, I watched Scunthorpe-Plymouth.
