What has your source said this season mate ?

Cunno did seem to know Preston was ‘inbound’ yesterday before anyone else.

Or maybe he just read the comments from Swindon’s manager saying Mansfield were trying to sign him ? . First post in the Preston thread .

For what it’s worth my sources tell me we are also after signing a midfielder and a striker within the next week . ( took a gamble on the next week bit ). I also heard the striker is Ricky Miller but his wage demands may be a stumbling block .

Some fans are wanting Kristian Dennis who Chesterfield took a punt with from non-league Macclesfield. Give Ricky Miller a chance, he's proven at that level and he needs a proper run at our level. He can do no worse than Spencer as a 3rd/4th choice striker. Rose wasn't first choice the season before last. Billy Kee had problems (all be it slightly different) but it's behind him & he was the league's top goalscorer. Shouldn't let another one slip away, especially how Miller integrated with the fans when he was sidelined. He wants to be here!

Looks like he is off to Vale, along with Junior Molias in a double swoop.

I can see why Ricky Miller is on Neil Aspin's radar. As manager of Gateshead, he would have seen Ricky scoring loads of goals for Dover Athletic.

Miller will score 20 goals for someone next season. I saw enough hunger and endeavour in him to work that out. Unfortunately for Ricky he was presented with so few opportunities in our shirt.

If we have an opportunity to sign old spindle-legs, we need to. He's a legend in waiting.

I keep saying it on here and getting shot down...if you’ve ever played the game you’ll know what he has that most other strikers don’t....if we aren’t in for him at least, I sincerely hope we have someone better lined up for when he bags every week, the sharks will be circling

If indeed, his wage demands are too high, then I think we should look elsewhere.

But probably not as high a level as S7AGS

Miller did well in the Conference, but there is a reason a bloke his age has not cracked it in the league. How did his court case for assaulting a policeman, threatening behaviour and failure to provide a sample go by the way? We all make mistakes I know, but we have a choice here and frankly based on what I saw (which was very underwhelming), I think we are best staying well clear.

I’ll take that bet Doomy, presuming you mean a league team and 20 league goals. He had one good half for us against a poor team.

Cunno said he was inbound on the day he signed. Everyone knew about the initial interest.

Would have been good for Miller to have had at least 4 games in a row to test him out he really did not get a chance to prove himself and the injury spoiled the last bit of the season

The January signings were a complete waste of time.

I trust they didn't cost the club too much.

This is starting to do my head in .... why do you draw the conclusion he doesn’t get on withDF.

Why can it be were not interested because he doesn’t score goals in the league and has a history of issues off the field ?

I would love to sign Ricky Miller as he has a bit of passion and is desperate to prove himself in the Football League. I'd play him before Lee Angol. Sorry Lee.....prove me wrong.

St Danny seems to be interested at Lincoln

Obviously Peterborough and the other teams who were interested in him saw something in Miller but how anyone can say sign him up based on is time with us is laughable . For someone with such a high profile , it's got to be one if the worse ever loan signings . .
Two mangers didn't play him .
If he's not right mentally then we should stay well clear . If it was down to his fitness then there were no excuses . Every player should keep fit , even if he isn't playing .
He had a decent 30 minute spell with us and people think he's Messi .
Saying that , I do believe there is a good player in there somewhere . I think the only thing making hom a success is Miller himself .

it's so obvious what's going to happen here...Jennings has gone to county and will bag 20+ Miller will go to Lincoln and do the same...

We are desperate for goals as proven last season and we have a player there in Miller that knows the club and would probably sogn given the right deal and we are just going to let him go to a rival to push their chances for promotion, the blokes clearly got/had issues but also seems desperate to prove himself.big mistake not signing him I reckon
