There's been some moaning recently (for a long time actually) about home attendances and apathy that I though was unwarranted. I've calculated the home crowd average, minus away fans to give the average number of Stags fans attending home matches.
This season we have (so far, over 19 home league games) averaged 3692. That's a total of 70,146 for anyone who's interested.
Last season, our total average home attendance (including away fans) was 3744.
We're on the up. Today's home crowd of 3887 (minus the 163 Col U fans from the total 4050) was a great turnout after two big home crowds and preceding a big away day at Notts. Stags fans are buying into the Radfords' project. Time to stop moaning about the 'apathy of the town's folk' and start recognising that things are moving as they should.
