Are You Less Confident Of A Result Tonight?

Postby Foxy » Tue Mar 06, 2018 2:28 pm

Than you would have been before SE did the dirty deed of getting a result tonight?
Will the management upheaval have unsettled our lads throwing them off kilter in the immediate aftermath?
Or maybe the team will be greatly enthused and let off the leash with devastating consequences for the opposition?

What do you reckon ?

More confident if anything Wolfie.

- Players with a point to prove and fighting for their place
- Superb atmosphere helped by welcoming the new manager
- No foul mouthed tirades at the officials in vain attempts to win decisions.

Lets do this!

Add the fact that Greenie has nothing to prove to our manager and we are on to a winner.

High scoring game 4 -3 to the Stags.
Who are you calling pedantic? I resemble that remark!

More confident. As said above, the players will be happy that Evans is gone and will want to prove their worth to Flitcroft.
Not that it means much, but we should be favourites. Beaten them already, home advantage, new manager, better form, better players.

Im less confident to be honest. New manager, lots of unknowns.

Yes there will be less shouting at players and they might be happy he's gone, but that doesn't mean they'll perform better.

I'm still hopeful of a good result but less confident than i would of been if Evans was still here

Score draw tonight.

We know exactly how they play. There'll be no surprises.

They have got lee frecklington who they didnt have last time.

Why are people so sure the players are pleased hes gone? He kicked ass. Everyones ass. Even his pwn players. And they responeded positively.

I fancy a late ricky miller goal.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Definitely less confident given under SE we were on a good run. Now we are into the unknown, but as has been said, surely the players are right up for this one. COYS !!!

Not less confident, were a better side than Lincoln, from front to back.

That doesn't mean I think it'll be a walk in the park and we'll batter them, I expect it'll be a bloody tough game.

As others have said before, they'll need to prove their places are theirs and nail it down, who's to say flitcroft will play the same formation as evans.

Just play our game and we'll be just fine

Less confident - we were in a good groove with Stevie like it or not.
Massive game tonight, a win would be massive. Dare say if we win we'll carry on with our winning ways for a while.

Unfortunately I will be missing tonight, slipped on black ice last Friday and damaged my back so unable to get to my seat, never mind constantly getting up for folks.

My take is, every Stags player should be up for tonight and go all out to impress, it's Lincoln who should be worried. Can't imagine too many of our players being upset by Evans moving on.

Fingers crossed for 3/4 in the Lincoln onion bag tonight.

I feel bit sorry for Flitcroft, taking over a winning team on a winning run. If we lose there will be plenty on here calling for his head, and if we win it's unlikely he'll be given a huge amount of credit (unless we batter them by 5 or 6).
We need to give him a HUGE welcome tonight and create the best and loudest atmosphere we've had at the Mill this season

Sorry to hear about that. Have you contacted the club to see if they can accommodate you elsewhere in the ground? I damaged my knee a few seasons ago and they allowed me to move to the front row. Not the best view, but better than none at all

Interesting question raised Foxy and a good thread as was feeling same way
My overall feeling is that it will have more of a negative effect as players not had a game for a while and night match and new manager so there are some unknowns here and will he be able to pick the best team??
Presumably all he can do is pick roughly the same team as last game??
Guessing he knows what he will need to do with his experience but would have been nice to have had the Stevenage game first before this one.
I would be thinking a draw at 1 1 ??

I'm more confident of a result. The players & fans alike will pull together & be well up for this in light of what's happened!
Also Evans only managed to get a draw against 10 men Coventry in his last game !

In 2 games v Lincoln this season, Swindon lost 0-1 at home and drew 2-2 away.
Controlled & Clueless. If this is the big life, well I ain't looking to live it.

I've never been confident of a result in almost four decades.

I'm never confident before a big game!

My journey is going to take longer tonight, hopefully Lincoln fans will go Dunham way rather than Newark!
