good choice, or maybe window licker?

the current Swindon Town correspondent on BBC Wiltshire was sacked from a previous job for using the phrase window licker on air during a phone-in. So not the best choice.

as Bellwhiff has already said further up the thread, Carolyn has clarified on facebook:

Carolyn Radford
"It’s not that one! It’s the woke up this morning feeling fine one..."

I will update the title of thread to clarify.

Agreed.

Anything would be better than 'feeling fine'. Hated it first time around, twee raspberry.

Oh and 'On the Ball' is a big steaming pile of geriatric sounding crap, if they played it at County we'd all be taking the piss. It's the only thing at Stags naffer than that feckin badge.

My memory might be patchy but I started going in 1975 and it was played then but I don't remember it being played for years and years around the mid 80s well into the 2000's. So did we ditch it first time around anyway and did anyone complain. Ditching it second time around would be easier surely. Anyone know how many seasons it has been played in our history and dates?

I complained, they ditched for a rubbish Elton John song which was then replaced by a succession of horrendous tunes. When the ground was redeveloped I managed to find a copy of On the Ball and Alan started playing it again - hard to believe that is almost 20 years ago now.

I believe it was played not long after the 66 World Cup through to about 1985, then back again in 2000. I am not sure if it was ever played between 1985-2000.

I think the Elton John song was Passengers, and I'm fairly sure I remember the reason that the person that decided it gave was that 'we want to show that we aren't passengers'.

My vote would be DJ Fresh - Louder https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eE-dwpWpscU

OTB is Mansfield Town, as Z Cars is for Everton and Watford, The Liquidator is for Chelsea, Hi ho Silver Lining for Wednesday etc etc.
It mustn't be taken off.

Tomorrow night the teams walk out with it playing , in my 45th year watching the team, I still get goosebumps , when I don't get them, it's time to pack up.
