Was always going to be tough Saturday , no need to get disheartened by the result but we need to get straight back on track and collect 3 bags full of coal :D

Think we will see a fair few changes after some poor performances yesterday. White has to come back in for Anderson in my opinion. Wouldn't be surprised to see Penney start ahead of Hamilton and Miller come in either. We really miss Mellis in midfield as well, we don't keep the ball anywhere near as good without him in the team so hope he is back ASAP.

We need to start scoring the first goal more regularly, and hopefully get a clean sheet too. Home win to put us back on track

If we carry on playing the diamond formation we`ll get destroyed, it was well and truly sussed out on Saturday, and the management team had no effective Plan B.

This has got a draw written all over it, a fresh Newport team and Stags with several changes and confidence slightly down. 1-1

If Miller had scored, maybe. And who will he replace Hemmings or Rose? I can't see Miller starting, but I can see White and Penney starting. Nice to have the options.

Personally think he will replace Hemmings, don't necessarily think it's the right thing to do though. Miller scored against Posh so I think Evans will look to give him a start at home after a quiet game from Rose and Hemmings. Agreed nice to have the options, 3 points is very important tomorrow especially with another tough game at Exeter on Saturday.

This has now turned into a massive game, a win and we are back on track, a loss and we may find ourselves out of the play off places.

Hope the players are up for it. Miller will probably be in. Mellis for Atkinson.

1/2-0 win to the stags!

I think Atkinson has been our best midfielder over the last few games . . Penney looked lively when he came on but wasted a few crosses and free kicks so not sure if we should drop Hamilton just yet .. We deserved a draw Saturday so I hope we don't make too many changes .
A win is a must imo . Tough games coming up . We can't afford to lose again against another team in the mix

Yes win needed and a bit of pressure now as draw Sat would have been better.
Agree Mellis needed back urgently and keep CJ another game and White back would be good news.
Wont be high scoring game and would be happy with 1 bag of coal to nil

Here are the Newport manager's views on the game.

http://www.southwalesargus.co.uk/sport/ ... ady_to_go/

If they are going to play David Pipe then I would love to see CJ Hamilton running at him. Pipe is a strong solid full back but at 34 he is not going to enjoy chasing CJ. He could try and use his strength though to try and rough CJ up a bit and psych him out.

Ben White is a good young defender who is on loan from Brighton.

Newport played some good football at Lincoln. I expected them to be more direct because of their terrible pitch but they played three at the back and tried to play out from the back through the thirds. They just lacked a little bit of creativity around the penalty area although they had 16 attempts on goal with 6 being on target. Matty Dolan is their playmaker in midfield and Padraig Amond is dangerous up front. Joss Labadie also impressed me more than he has done in previous seasons. He looks to make runs behind the defence. It should be a good game but I expect the Stags to win and gain three points.

Time for Byrom to be dropped. He has good delivery from dead ball situations but does little else. This my opinion and several other fans.

I understand your opinion but I feel it is time to give King a place. He can score goals wheras Byrom doesn't.

Yep go with Byrom off for a bit, he is brilliant with odd passes and some set play but not a tiger in midfield at all.
May as well try King until Mellis fit.
