At £2 a ticket...

Postby Spiritater » Fri Feb 02, 2018 6:25 pm

...how many of the public of Mansfield would have come on Sat to watch us play Barnet d'you reckon?

Me being me (yes the tin hat's on already so fire away) I doubt we'd get anymore than 4.5 to 5k. I noticed that Clownty are expecting in excess of 15,000.

This bearing in mind that in the 2010/11 season our first game was £2 if the Wembley ticket was produced and we failed to get 4k that first game

I don't know why people get so obsessed with attendances.
They are what they are and will always be what they will be.
I don't think people are apathetic, they just don't want to go or do want to go. there's nothing wrong in that.
And i reckon Amberheart's estimate is about right.
i would prefer not to.

So, let's get this right.
Your comparing the following.

A team from a town with a stadium capacity of 9,000 who were playing Non League football on the first day of the season, after a shocking performance at Wembley, under a Manager who many couldn't name, against a team of Vegans, with a travelling support of 48.

AGAINST

A team from a City with a Stadium capacity of 19,000 who are playing league football and are in an automatic qualification spot with a third of the season to go, who are riding the crest of a wave after recent ownership changes and FA Cup Runs under a Manager who's well known against an established league team with a travelling support of 500 ish?

YEAH, that should work.
It's not a Tin Hat you need but something to go in the space underneath it.

Just seen on East Midlands Today that Big Al is going round to builders merchants and giving them 400 free tickets. I wonder how many will just get chucked in bin.

Looks like they will report 18000 attendance if they turn up or not.
Can we play Accrington Stanley every week.

What's the point £2 you have to get 10 x your crowd to get to the same income, when we did the pay what you want we had to turn people away and lost money as well as the match.

Hardy has given loads of those tickets away to schools as well.
I will be curious to see how many don't turn up out of all the gifted tickets.

That's fake news ORS.

Steve Hymas confirmed on here that we made more of a profit at the 'pay what you want' game than at a normal home match.

On EMT Hardy gave a local company 400 tickets for staff and customers. He's taking the financial hit so let him do what he can to get on the telly.

14000 tickets at £2 is only £28,000 (14000 after ST)

I know they get more in food and programs but policing would be more etc

@ £22 a ticket stags would only need to sell 1272..

With 2200 STs sold.. we get an extra 1000 people..

Obvs we haven't got a big stadium so even we sold out at £2, we would be losing money
