In some ways it did, pack starting to form.

Luton v Exeter now win / win - Luton lose (they can be caught), Exeter lose hurts them, and draw hurts both team.

Lincoln play Swindon so somone will drop points Saturday.

We just need to look after ourselves and our own results. As i said 17 cup finals - win them all we get promoted. Its in our hands.

It does irk every time Matt Green scores! We shouldn't have let him go - He is much better than Angol, Spencer, & Sterling-James.

Matt Green is good with the support of Rhead, but it's unlikely that Evans would have signed Rhead at the time he was considering whether to keep Green.

You keep saying . Why don't you mention Rose or Hemmings on your list ?

Green is Lincolns main striker . If I'm guessing right with what you have put then he would be our third choice striker ? . Yes he's better than Spencer . Stirling James was signed for his potential and is currently 5th choice . I still think Angol is as good as Green .

Its ridiculous but typical to say we should have kept Green

I love Matt Green but v few if any on this board would have kept Matt based on his performances last year. So grow up and move on

Matt Green was good for us in the conference. Great even. But in the league he struggles a tad. Angol has a similar league record to Green but in league 1. Angol has the benefit of being 8 years younger than Green.

Like Angol, green would be 3rd choice.

Newport deffo had an 'After the Lord Mayors Show' moment if they let Palmer score against them.

Do you mean the Palmer who has scored against us for two different clubs?

I don't think the argument is we should have have kept him, i think the argument is Evans said he was getting better forwards in to replace him and as far as i can see Angol, Spencer and OSJ aren't.

I would say Hemmings is better. And as pointed out above, Green and Rhead are their main strikers. Are they better than Hemmings and Rose. I don't think so.

So you think Hemmings isn't better than Green ? Really ? .
I'm sorry but your argument doesn't add up .
First , for whatever reason , last season , Green was poor . You don't keep someone on high wages who is not pulling their weight . He looked disinterested.

I'm a huge Green fan but even I could see he needed to move . Evans saw the talent in Rose and Rose has become twice the player he was last season . He is far better than Green .
Evans tried to bring in Marquis, Collins , Hylton . Unfortunately this didn't happen but all these players are better than Green . These are the players you should be comparing Green with .
If you were offered any of these players or Hanson instead of Green then surely you would of jumped at that ?
You can not compare Green who was our main striker with the likes of Stirling James . He was signed for one for the future .
Spencer never had a great scoring record , so again I don't think he was signed as our main striker . More of a squad player

Angol in my opinion is as good if not better than Green . Their style of play are completely different
Green is exciting to watch where Angol looks lazy . His style of pkay will always divide oppions . Lincoln fans were divided about him although he score one in two .If Angol had played every game this season I would be quite confident that he would of matched Green in scoring . His goal ratio is as good .
Cowley wanted to sign Angol .
Green will always be a legend in my eyes . He may of needed a new challenge . Saying that , I do wonder what a job he may of done for us this season with the likes of , McDonald , Anderson and the other wingers supplying the ammo but we have to look at his performances from last season .
On the basis of that and the wages he was on also on the players Evans tried to get in that it was tge right decision

Summed up well as above
Green is athletic and sharp and looks very fit and up for games even when he does not score but Angol is very laid back and slightly inconsistent but does have an air of class about him when he is on it.... but often he is not on it ......a lot like Clements was.
Results were poor for us last night and who would have thought Wycombe would turn over Lootoon.

Rose, Hemmings and Angol all have significantly better minutes per goal ratios this season than Green.

God this topic drains me, having a debate everytime Matt Green scores a goal..he's a striker so he will do that from time to time.
