Watching this programme.Notts County chairman is the main guest. He states that they are losing 1.6 million per season. The tannoy system is very poor and will cost 100k to replace.he also said that they will have a far stronger squad by the end of the month Interesting.

Seems a case of s hit or bust then this season.
Shall we start collecting for them now for when it all comes crashing down.

Just watched it and think Hardy came across as a decent guy, much the same as JR. He talked sense and Notts will be ok with him as owner imo.

Thanks SFL. That was interesting. I wonder where Alan Hardy is getting the money from to fund the £1.6 million loss. I assume he is loaning money to the club or from his other companies like JR. He's probably finding it difficult, like a lot of Chairman, to say "No" to his manager as things are going well for County at the moment. He does seem to be taking promotion for grant
ed though which could bite him on the bum.

I'm sure i read somewhere a few months ago (can't remember where) that Hardy was making noises about how County couldn't really afford to go up in terms of increased costs of players etc. A £1.6 million loss is, well, just that.
I'm not sure that attendances would increase that much even with a promotion to L1. There will be some really average clubs in there next season if you exclude Blackburn and Mansfield
unless the likes of Sunderland and Hull get relegated.
