Steve Evans a comparison on promotion

Postby gazza1988 » Thu Jan 11, 2018 2:18 pm

So I did a little digging around with the Ipswich table thing bellwhiff posted in the chesterfield thread.

As we know SE has won promotion out of this league before. So I thought I'd see how we compare after 26 games.

Currently, after 26 games, we sit 6th with 43 points and a goal difference of +9

Well after 26 games in 2012/13 season Rotherham had 43 points and sat in 4th position with a GD of +5. See it here for yourselves (NOTE: I had to forward the date on by nearly a week to get them on 26 games) https://www.twtd.co.uk/league-tables/co ... -and-away/

As you may know Rotherham ended that season in 2nd on 79 points. They accomplished this by winning 11 and drawing 3 of their remaining games.

For another quick comparison, they lost their next game. So victory on Saturday would put us ahead of Rotherham at this point back then.

Keep the faith, history shows we are on track.
