Fair points. I didn't see the post about when the game was played. Valid question though still seen as I've already asked it now.

That's one of (the many reasons) why I decided to give Stags a try instead of Chesterfield despite living in Chez for a good number of years now.

To answer your question there is still an element hence all the 1pm kick offs but nothing to the scale of hundreds of opposition fans in home ends and kicking off left right and centre.

Cheers MTFCMAD. Just the usual minority element then like all clubs have. Away games though, are they generally friendly but loud? Mentioning the Spireites again, I was staggered to see their stats for football related arrests and banning orders over a 10 year period. There are Championship and Prem clubs with about 5 times the number of supporters that don't even come close. I'm reading stuff all the time in the DT about fans getting into scuffles and stuff at home games at the Prozac. For such a small club the number of incidents is shocking.

They weren't the usual Mansfield fans, they were there because we were playing Cardiff - it was an EDL thing. It was organised. We heard afterwards that they'd come from near and far. Just a pity the police and stewards did nothing to help. We had drunk/drugged thugs literally standing right in front of us as we were trying to watch the match. This was still the old West Stand so a bit more room than now.

Absolute rubbish.

They don't have to face as many early kick offs as us so they can't be as troublesome as our 'fans'.
Or is it they haven't got Gabbitas giving them 'advice'.

I'm glad we have a new fan who wants to learn more about history of the club and fans even if it can be hard to comprehend.

OK, they didn't introduce themselves personally. They were English thugs wanting to kill Welsh thugs. They had absolute hatred etched on their faces. As someone said, it was nearly 19 years ago.
