Lincoln home match postponed (now 6th March)

Postby Martin Shaw » Wed Jan 10, 2018 12:16 am

Lincoln home match to be rescheduled
mansfieldtown.net

Our Sky Bet League Two home match against Lincoln City, which was to be played on Tuesday 23 January, will be re-arranged due to the Imps' progression in the Checkatrade Trophy this evening.

A late Ollie Palmer strike gave City a 1-0 win at Rochdale to progress into the quarter-finals of the competition.

Matches in the last eight of the Trophy are to be played the week commencing 22 January - resulting in a clash ith our league fixture.

A new date for the fixture will be announced in due course. All tickets previously purchased for the match will remain valid for the re-arranged game.

I might ask Ollie Palmer if he'll pay my non-refundable hotel room !

It will have to be a big bank account for him to get it in or he'll miss it, so you're in with a chance. ;)

Just great! Had to move my shift to accommodate fixture on Jan 23rd, now it's moving again. Olly Palmer has a lot to answer for!

I'm pleased it is to be rescheduled, and more so it not being our fault. It is a very important game, which we need to win.

They were chancing fate by having it that week. A bit like rearranging it for the week of the cup replays when we are bound to be at the Etihad!

Martin - you could always go to Lincoln if they are drawn at home.

After all you did see Direites at Fleetwood

400 to Rochdale is impressive. We only took 405 just down the road to Meadow Lane.

They did bring 898 to Field Mill.

I'm going to cut my losses and not throw good (petrol) money after bad. I've already lined up a game in the south.
