I wish Tony all the best.

Great guy to meet in person and scored a cracker at Chester City many, many years ago.

Absolutely wish him well too, met him a couple of times, really nice bloke, very grounded - had a great career with us and them.

Get well soon Tony.
I recall having a row with a bloke in West Stand, he was absolutely raining abuse on him.
I told him to sit down , shut up and actually watch him. Thankfully he did and in the end was man enough to admit he'd been a bit of a prat.
One of the most honest footballers we had , like Ernie Moss, Tom Curtis, Kevin Randall, all good pro's from across the border.

We had him when his knees were more or less gone. Amazing that he still had some good performances for us considering.

I remember Tony, I'm in my 50s now, 1st stags game aged 7. Keep the faith Tony and well done. Funny thing is I've been at Awsworth Villa tonight as the ressies had a game v Selston Res. Spartacus, if you're ever down the Shilo again let me know and I'll buy you the pint Tony owes you lol. Were you there tonight as I didn't get to the pub after as I took the ref home, he travelled to the ground from Nottingham in a taxi and was going to go back the same way, I wasn't having that so dropped him home. Things we do eh

For anyone to beat this awful disease is the biggest ever triumph in life they will ever have, life's so precious.
Tony, all the best. Be nice if our team could show the fight you've got in adversity.

All the best to the big man in his brave fight against cancer. An excellent interview with him here in The Shields Gazette

Best wishes to you again Tony, if any one can beat this again, you can.

Shame you have to live in Sheffield for three weeks though.
