Chickenfeed progression

Yes it's out of our hands, but I thought I'd start a little thread for those interested in the outcome of the Imps v Clownty game tonight. :D

With Clownty still being top of the League we must hope they'll put out a 'fringe' side. Lincoln all being a trouncing by Clownty are as good as through so could also field a fringe side.

Has Greeny and/or Rheady been injured lately as I don't think either has troubled the goalscoring charts for months.

Nah, they're just like Hemmings - eg they're not good enough for league football

I think it had four legs the last time I saw it. ;)
We might win against Accrington next time.

Mansfield will go through if Lincoln beat Notts County, or it is a draw. If Notts County win by 1 goal or 2 goals, then Mansfield will go out. If Notts County win by 3 goals, then Lincoln and Mansfield would have the same goal difference, and it would depend on who had scored more goals. If Notts County win by 4 or more goals, then Mansfield would go through.

Lincoln have already scored more goals than the Stags, so a 3-0 county win still sees Lincoln through.

Typical of this pisspot competition that a situation exists where two clubs can collude to ensure they both go through.

Only competition I know that's got a mini league to go on into a knockout stage we're all teams in the same league don't finish on the same night. Can you see this happening in the European champions league....

I have been positive about this competition mainly because it holds good memories, however I agree with what you say.

Notts have made 11 changes from Saturday. Not sure how strong Lincoln team is.

When we won in 87 there were 3 teams in each group stage so the same scenario existed even then. We needed a draw to go through which we got. Halifax had to sit it out and sweat. All games were drawn so we went through on goals scored.

Are the changes tactical or did the first eleven think, ‘sod playing in this competition’ and headed to Hooters instead.

If so, can’t fault ‘em. An evening of thighs and breasts - and that is just the chicken!

If the score means that both clubs get through, it would be highly suspicious.

Good.

Let's get out of here.

Keep it as is and were out.
