I see on twitter that Ian Abrahams and Alvin Martin are at the game today doing match day live for talksport. They say they are going around the grounds but are they doing live commentary of our game inbetween?

A nice drive down on the "King's Highway" "Into The Great Wide Open" spaces of Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Essex listening to the late great Tom Petty. Bought my ticket at the ground for the bargain price of £29. Now sitting in a very empty Half Butt Inn drinking a pint of London Pride.

I'd definitely recommend the A14 route. It was dual carriageway all the way from the A1 to Colchester's ground. I still have nightmares about trying to get home last season when the Cone Pixies had closed off the A12 and M11. It also meant that I avoided Braintree which my therapist recommended.

I'm hoping that we create as many chances as last season but this time stick them in the net. Someone also needs to keep Sammi Smodzics under control if he is playing. I think Dickinson is still injured

The Stags have made a bright start. Have got into three or four good positions and Atkinson could have had a couple of goals.

We are the best team so far. Should be leading. Rose and Omari have gone close.

Omari gives a silly free kick away on edge of the area and it is deflected past Logan. Undeserved.

Rose header saved at far post.

2-0 to Col U.

Superb ball by Doug Loft across the pitch to Sean Murray who crosses for Mandoron to head home. Excellent goal but totally against the run of play.

It’s half time. If they can score two in 45 mins then so can we. Man up.
