A few folks losing patience with Hemmings, but Evans is convinced the goals will come soon

He'll help his cause no end if he does things like run, and control the ball.

I hope it comes good for both him and us, but if it were January now, it'd be a thanks, but no thanks.

Comes across as decent in interviews though

I think he'll come good. He just needs to take a chance or two.

He reminds me a bit of Ben Hutchinson when he was here. Lots of skill and ability but does he had the attitude and desire to match? Time will tell.

He's never in a position to "take a chance or two" :?

Hemmings has a good pedigree and I have seen his goals on you-tube and he looks good.Left foot right foot and headers.Just not working out for him atmo.Getting a bit despondent he has to keep his chin up and train hard and he will come good.

Evans has to back Hemmings.
However, I do question his judgement on strikers. So far his choices have been:-
Arquin, Coulthirst, Spencer, Omari Sterling-James, Angol and Hemmings.
Personally. I'd have snapped up Padraig Amond over any of them!
At the moment, of his signings, only Lee Angol looks like he might fit the bill.

I think it's imperative that having slated Connie the polar bear and The Mirf to exhaustive lengths, in order to get them to eventually play out of their skins, that the Stagsnet Massive continue to mount their dismissive pressure on Kano til he scores his 20 goals in a season.

Assuming Padraig wanted to come here in the 1st place, whilst also assuming he wasn't on our target list and we hadn't already approached.

It'd be boring to perhaps consider that eventuality though ;)

We all hope he will come good and the pedigree is there but at the moment its hard to see that!
As always we trust in SE judgment so over to him for now and he has my blessing.

Hemmings does a job every game, holds the ball up, lays it off. He does that all game, Mansfield fans fail to see that because he isnt scoring goals

the comments on here really don't surprise me.
If a striker hasn't bagged 10 goals in his first 3 games, he is classed as rubbish.
Players need time, but most of our fans think we have premiership standard players and they should hit the ground running.
When you move jobs, (assuming you are old enough to work) how long does it take you to settle in ?

I am surprised nobody hasn't started on Butcher yet. I am guessing it wont be long.

Get a grip people, give him time, and he will come good. If not he will be gone in January and we wouldn't have wasted big money.

i worry about anyone who thinks what Evo says to the media has any similarity to what he says to the players. I have no doubt Hemmings has been made very aware in no uncertain terms what he needs to do. In fact i'd go as far to say that despite this guff to the press about "coming good" he's been going absolutely crackers at him...just like he does any player who hasn't met his desired standards... and those that have.

I dont think the moans have been about Angol and Hemmings directly. In my opinion, we have Danny Rose who causes all sorts of issues, scores and because he missed a penalty is sat on the Bench.

The majority of people believe we have a better option as a sub.

Hemmings did look dejected when he was subbed on Saturday
Hopefully he can regain his form soon
