There are two trains of thought here:

1. One of support:

"Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others"

Philippians CH2 V4

2. One of not being bothered in the slightest ; AFC Mansfield was called thus in order to aim a dagger at the heart of MTFC

"Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for his wrong......"

Colossians CH3 V25

It is for people to make up their own minds. Myself...... I will be giving it a miss and hopefully celebrating our win against County with a glass of church wine and a good book

Vicar,

Should your post not have ended "a glass of church wine and THE good book"?

And so the so called Stags legend refuses to allow the prospect of a 4pm kick off and have Stags fans the opportunity to see him and up to eleven former Stags players in action

Coward!

Not really Johnny. Why would Boston wish to have the AFC crowd swelled and make their life more difficult?

Might not be in the spirit of things, however, the cup is a potential big earner, so why hinder your progress by allowing a more partisan crowd?

I'm surprised that Notts Plod are allowing the game to take place on that day, cos I'd wager Boston will bring a couple hundred fans. Have AFC got a gate worth shutting?

AFC Mansfield 0-2 Boston United

Crowd - 613

Thomas & Mcguire both played for Boston, McGuire had a good game and was as you'd expect him to be. Thomas was very average imo and didnt stand out.

Could have been a different story at 1-0 when Jason White scored from the half way line however it wasn't given due to offside.

Quite a few Stags fans turned up!

I thought they were robbed with that goal from Jason White, didn't seem anything wrong with it. AFC didn't disgrace themselves though and did themselves proud.

Sadly there was a bit of trouble afterwards in the bar when a few locals couldn't handle the shandy they had and 5 cop cars turned up!

Thomas was very average although is still being played out of position as an attacking midfielder/winger rather than a proper centre midfielder.

Saw him in Viking on Leeming Street at about 1.30AM this morning I think his career is done now, especially with us.

Thomas was marked out of the game by d'laryea. Sadly I think it's fair to say that his Stags career is all but over.
