Probably because it wasn't horse-drawn and seemed alien to them

This is absolutely genuine, my son had his first car accident two weeks ago (nothing serious I hasten to add). Like me he is now based over in Lincs and was driving along the A15 when a potato fell from a passing lorry and hit his car just under the grill badly damaging the air con condenser. Probably the most Lincolnshire car accident ever, took me ages to get the bits of potato out of the engine bay! On the downside its being repaired on Fri at a cost of £185.

1pm kick off worked then, if the police aren't currently aware of the team bus being attacked imagine what could have happened at a 3pm kick off!

Club Statement
redimps.co.uk, 22 September 2017

We have been informed by our counterparts at Mansfield Town that following the game at Sincil Bank on Saturday 16th September at around 4.15pm, the Mansfield team bus was attacked at St. Catherines.

As a club we are continuing to liaise with The Stags and Lincolnshire Police regarding the incident, which saw the vehicle attacked by a small group of youths causing damage to the bus and distress to its occupants.

The group were said to have thrown objects at the vehicle and aimed verbal abuse at the Mansfield players and staff.

Lincoln City fully condemns such actions and will fully co-operate with any investigation into the matter.

If you have any information on this, we urge you to contact Lincolnshire Police or you can report anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111

Exactly what I was thinking, no consistency at all and Lincoln are taking a massive away following.
Mansfield Town, my club even though been exiled in London since 1983.

Especially when there's an outside chance of someone from Mansfield being somewhere within a mile of Meadow Lane!
They're taking a hell of a chance there.

This is true. Obviously the chaps in charge of the Clownty and Imps side of intelligence gathering pay no attention to the attack on the Stags team coach or the fact that Clownty fans destroyed the NS a few years back.

It makes me wonder whether Gabbitas had his Tonka toy kicked down an alleyway and broken when he was a young by a Stags fan after a defeat and thought, 'You're gonna pay for that. Somehow, some way you're gonna suffer. You just wait and see'.

Just doesn't seem right does it ?Unless it's deemed that it's only our club which has the hooligans ?

Still cannot understand the sequence of events that saw the Clownty mobile plumbers wreck the North Stand toilets, then it is us that were given a reduced capacity as a result.

Apparently the Imps fans had Police dogs and Tazers as a welcome home pressie from Linc's finest.
