In fairness until 1995 they had a stag on their badge in some way shape or form.

I thought a lynched gibbon would have been more appropriate.

Cracking badge. I'd be happy with something very similar.

Never realised that a stag on a football club crest could look like an actual stag.

Mind-blowing concept.

There is a pub on the way into Hartlepool called the Stag & Monkey

The real question here is would you change our club crest given the chance?

For some the final reminder of the Haslam years?

I may have mentioned on the odd occassion that I'd like to see the current crest consigned to the dustbin of histery.

I don't recall you ever mentioning it.

Current badge is OK, but Haslam brought it in and the 70's round Stag badge is just a classic. Bring it back John!

They are very confused even if they are harping back to historical logos. They mention themselves in their history that the Hart refers to a Teutonic name for forest ( not a stag), refer to the new stripes representing the sea as 'Breton' but don't want any other French reference...
They have also dropped the two anchors ( please don't say this fast in a Yorkshire accent) and any other 'forest animals' and the deerhound seen on previous logos.
Their 1985 and 1990 logos are shocking with neither looking like a stag.
Our 'new' logo looks positively lifelike in comparison but needs changing to something either more modern or traditional ASAP and finally rid ourselves of the Hasloan years. Maybe this could be done as soon as we (Sir John Redford) have paid off the stadium in full.

I just adore the current club crest; it has the class of the Dutch master's, how it captures in portrait the grace of noble beast prowling the wilds of rugged landscape, however, with the refined touch of renaissance era beauty and a cheeky knowing glance at 'Banksy-esqe' type contemporary social message. Not only can you see our striking Haslam inspired badge but thanks to the sheer dynamics of the artistry involved, you can also breathe it, touch it, feel it, live it, love it, wear it on novelty socks.

The only thing missing, which could improve it, would be the addition of some thrown together phrase in Latin. Something that translates back in to English with a powerful, awe inspired verse. Something such as: 'Took ten minutes on a fag packet, this shiite'

The huge Stag on the often commented-upon scoreboard has a weird expression on its face. It looks like he's trying to "squeeze one out" !

The scoreboard is, after all, right next to the old toilets.
