It was useless, unreadable due to glare in first half... off all the second half

I'd happily contribute to a Scoreboard Demolition Fund.

It is a pile of poo. Unreadable in the sun which always come from the west in the afternoon . A big square failed to light properly under the home goals number which resulted in a top third o0f the zero and then took ages to show the 1 when we scored. Can we get any scoreboards down here that actually work ?

Don't even see the need for a score board at all...

Do we need a scoreboard? Surely even the locals can count in 1's

Just a nice clock would do the trick

This is what JR said on Wednesday at the SFU meeting

Q – Scoreboard?
A – Only cost £10K from a man in a pub, still got a number more panels, could have been twice the size. Paul B assured it will be working for Grimsby game.
We might win against Accrington next time.

For the scoreboard to be seen properly and probably not fail is to put it under cover As it was at Wembley. I think if we could some how put it under the roof of bishop street it would work fine. Then we could put all the advertising boards at the sides which may make it less of an eyesore

I like it. It doesn't matter how much JR spends on the team or the pitch, or whatever; the punters can sneak a look in to that corner and find a little bit of Mansfield Town that'll always be tinpot (this is where some smart Alex will mention the whole of the Bishop).

This scoreboard was not under cover at Wembley, it is made up of panels that ran along the side of the pitch.

It is rubbish now and always will be.An eyesore. But if broughton is in charge then don't expect too much.I would take it down and get one like accy or northampton they are adequate.

I think the scoreboard is from Wembley Arena and not Wembley Stadium and so may not be entirely suitable for outdoor use.

Perhaps we should have a fan/crowd funding campaign to purchase a scoreboard like Accrington or Exeter.

Radford has said many times its from Wembley Stadium not arena... and its part of the ones behind the goals..

Any way you look at it, it looks cheap and tacky and doesn't work and its not needed.

Hopefully we have now learned our lesson about buying cheap 2nd hand scoreboards (first Leicester & now Wembley duds).
Other clubs seem to be able to buy suitable scoreboards relatively easily (presumably from 'Scoreboards R Us').
The best scoreboard we have ever had was the one we used to have at the Quarry lane end in the 70's! Who would have thought that in this day and age!
