This. I was expecting to see Barney the Dinosaur in goal. He did ok. Should have saved the pen though but that's no criticism.

Cost me £25 diving over the ball i had Stags to win 4 nil. Grrrrr

Could we afford Jake's wage? Why not give Bobby O a chance... in my opinion he is the better keeper

Although I have said Bobby should be given a chance, I can't believe this thread. We won 4 - 1 today, and their goal was a penalty. Come on, should we really be changing a winning side?

Logan stays for me, got to build a link between the defence and gk. Pearce, Bennett and Mirfin are cementing their starting places and they need to play regularly with the no1.

we have a good backup if needed though

The fact we have a keeper who doesn't command his box, never comes for crosses & is rooted to his line like he has concrete in his boots worries me greatly and has done since 15 mins of his first pre season friendly , there is know hiding from it, Logan is going to cost us points this season, i just don't see what Evo spotted in him for his number one in a promotion season.
you could normally mask the odd poor signing i. e. my mate on the bench however not with a keeper
let's just hope we start to score more than he lets in till Jan

You have to remember that Logan was at Boston and played under Steve Evans who was manager at that time and both were at Rotherham. Evans tends to pick mainly his own players. I am not saying there is bias , but what I cannot understand is that Olejnik``s track record is far superior the Logans..just saying

Spencer & Logan are my two highlighted poor buys, said it from day one& not changed my opinion in the slightest, it's not a case of boo boy it's a case of discussion when they play, nothing would give me greater pleasure than to see both turn it around however it int going to happen, interesting why hasn't Evo acted on it, would love someone to ask him.

Why not get behind them instead of starting threads which highlight your opinion of them just before a first team match.

JR was asked about the keepers at the Fans Forum on Wednesday. He said that both keepers were on Steve Evans' list of 26 players that he had targeted where he managed to sign 8 of them. Evans said straight away at the end of the season that he wanted to sign Logan and Olejnik because he had worked with them both in the past. Jake Kean was not on his list.

I have recently spoken to someone who knows Jake Kean and he said Jake would have liked a move to a League 1 or 2 club as he was well down the pecking order at Wednesday.

Nobody had the slightest that this was the case.

Perhaps both players should be informed so they can quickly get it added to their Curriculum Vitae.

I spoke to Steve Evans about the keepers before the Carlisle game, and he explained why he was keeping Logan in the team. I included it in my report. http://stagsnet.net/match/reports/viewr ... atchid=878

I'm always intrigued by the theory that "ironically cheering" our own players efforts and putting our own lads under pressure is called support.

Logan made a great save at the end from Mitch Rose's shot.

Have to say Conrad was superb tonight, to see put a performance in 1st half like that was top draw in wet/windy difficult gk conditions. 3 very good saves, fully deserved mom. Hopefully more performances like this to come

Conrad was great tonight. Some of those saves were as good as goals.

let's face it, jensen or shearer would've probably let those shots in... no other choice for MOTM than logan.. or maybe mirfin who headed away everything that came towards him

Conrad Logan was easily the Man of the Match although Krystian Pearce and David Mirfin both played very well.
