Re: England under 19s at the one call stadium

If ever there was a time we needed the scoreboard, as blinding bright as it can be, to have a good game. Then tonight was the night.

Have we just given up with the scoreboard now?

Was a very good, entertaining game. Some good attacking play from both sides, however, ze Germans could have been out of sight after ten minutes - as good a football as seen on that pitch for a long time in that first half.

Was also great to see gangs of teenage kids enjoying the game together; the price certainly being an attraction. Shame that aspect won't be replicated on Saturday.

A bit of an embarrassment for Paul Broughton as floodlights kept failing during second half.

11 minutes of stoppage time but on second and third time they went out they kept on playing with just three pylons working.
We might win against Accrington next time.

It's good for the young ones to see if you don't train hard and reach your potential you end up playing for us with dodgy lights.
Didn't cloughy say you haven't lived til you get changed in our dressing rooms.
Years ago I know but I'm sure the difference is about the same.

I wonder if they would continue playing with one pylon out in a league game.

The light level seemed adequate when the lights were out and it was sensible to continue playing.

the ref seemed to decide to start playing again the first time before the floodlight came on so then used his common sense to carry on when it went off again. it did seem bright enough without it on!

It was like watching an old conference away game when the floodlight went out.....

It didnt make any real difference to light levels hopefully its fixed before wycombe. Shame for the club to have it happen during a prestigious event for the club.

England did well not to get embarrassed because the Germans were very good.

This event seems to have gone under the radar on a national level. Not much/hardly any coverage as the U21's were also in action at Bournemouth.

Plenty of refreshment sales though, but depends on the profit margins the club make from these.

Don't think it was the strongest side, they made 7 changes and have beaten the germans easily before.

is there any highlights?
