MOM merited in half an hour?

Was Butcher that good (or were the rest mediocre), Martin?

He was very good, but we had not played very well in the first half.

didn't go yesterday, by the sounds of it from martins report yet again we were dire 1st half. makes you wonder why this trend has carried on from last season, steve needs to start dishing out his rollocking's before the kick off would be a good start. We need a good first half at home to Grimsby next week or I can see that being a tough game with their good support behind them

one amendment to the report:

The Stags came close to equalising on 36 minutes. Joel Byrom’s corner was punched away by the keeper as far as Mellis, who brilliantly took the ball past Joyce on the edge of the area to create a shooting chance and he thundered a piledriver that was heading for the left corner of the net before Reggie Lambe headed it away (I initially thought the keeper saved, but our pitchside footage shows that he didn’t).

You should have listened to Radio Cumbria on the way home. People were texting and tweeting in and the reporters were in agreement that the ref was totally incompetent ... one said he should have sent off our no5 and no9 and that they were on the wrong end of all the decisions. Keith Curle said he didn't think it was a penalty, which is unbelievable
I think I must have watched a different game as it was competitive and a bit niggly but both sides gave as good as they got

I also had a listen to BBC Radio Cumbria on the way home. Their reporters thought it was a penalty. They agreed that Miller had jumped far too early. The majority of Carlisle fans were not hopeful about their promotion prospects and think they are going to finish mid-table.

It's like a trip down memory lane listening to BBC Radio Cumbria. Last season I drove home on the M6/A66 listening to Keith Curle and Paul Cox. Barrow had just beat Dagenham 4-1 away and Barrow fans were describing Paul Cox as the best manager they had ever had. This season it was Keith Curle and Mickey Moore. Hopefully Mickey will be given the chance to manage Barrow later this week.

He missed the penalty of course and miscontrolled a couple of times, but I didn't think he had a terrible game overall.
