And who could have forseen his career ending injury after just 5 minutes of his debut at Field Mill. It was tragic.

We surely can't be the most hated moneybags team in the division now.

i bet he was looking at him, but depends how much money they wanted. I wonder how much Luton paid for him, and they apparently put a 250k bid in for a plymouth defender too so they ain't afraid of chucking money out

I was told today that they're in for Akinde too, £750.000... crazy money in our league. How much did they pay for Collins too?

I hope you are correct ows. If we lose, the back lash on here will be awful. I hope Hylton is not playing, I can't stand his antics.

Hilton has all the pro tricks and knows how and when to use them, love him or hate him, I wish he was a Stag.

Although I agree with a lot you post on here ows, I can't agree with you on this one. A good centre forward does not need to resort to these tactics. Think of people like Cassells, Greenacre, Wilkinson and Green. Hopefully our new lad will be more like them than Hylton.

Luton sell a young player on every season so are not short of money

Hi Amber, yes in bygone days your words would be true.

Unfortunately, things in football and attitudes have changed for the worse.

I endorse your view but if you play with the big boys you need big boys yourself, if you get my drift.

To illustrate a point, can you imagine Stanley Matthews being allowed to do in the modern game what he did in the 50s, I can't, more's the pity.

Hylton has always been a cheating tool. He was like it at Aldershot.

Fair point ows. But I don't like to see it. At times I get frustrated with Danny Rose who has a tendency to do it, but not as much as Hylton who seems to have perfected it. I hope tomorrow's referee is up to the job. I've got a feeling there will be a sending off tomorrow.

Tomorrow's ref has sent an opposition player off in his last two visits to the Mill.

Newport player last season and Wimbledon player season before.

He has also reffed a Stags-Luton game at the Mill, the 2-2 Sunday lunch time draw when we won the league.
We might win against Accrington next time.

Luke Berry seemed to play better last season when he was played as a forward or even a "false 9". He was pushed much further forward than previous seasons. He seems the type of player who needs a free role. It will be interesting to see if Luton can play Collins, Hylton and Berry in the same team.
