STAGS FANS UNITED AGM AND FANS FORUM WITH JOHN RADFORD

Stags Fans United will be holding their Annual General Meeting in the 1861 Suite at the One Call Stadium on Wednesday 6th September 2017 at 6.45pm. The AGM will be followed by a Fans Forum with our Chairman, John Radford at 7.30 pm where members and fans will be able to ask questions about the club. Entry to the SFU AGM is for members only. Entry to the SFU Fans Forum is by purchasing raffle tickets for £2.

Stags Fans United is the Mansfield Town Supporters Trust. It is a non-profit making co-operative which was formed to represent the supporters of Mansfield Town in the running of the football club. Stags Fans United is the second largest shareholder in Mansfield Town and has purchased 10,000 Community Shares and 304 Ordinary Shares of 50 pence each in the football club for around £89,000. It is also represented on the board of the directors of the football club. Stags Fans United also donated £7,000 to the Free Field Mill Fund and assisted the football club with its legal claim against Keith Haslam.

Stags Fans United is always looking for new volunteers who agree with the aims of supporters trusts to help SFU improve its communications with members or to set up and run any new community projects that could be operated under the SFU banner. If anybody is willing to help or has any good ideas then they should not hesitate to get in touch. Further information about supporters trusts can be found on the Supporters Direct website http://www.supporters-direct.org/

Any supporter is welcome to become a member of Stags Fans United. The cost of membership is a one off payment of £100 which can be paid in monthly instalments if required. The best way to become a member is to join our SFU 200 Club for £60 per year or a standing order of £5 per month. This also gives you the chance to win a cash prize in our monthly draws. If you would like to become a member of Stags Fans United then our contact details are on our website.

How long will 10.32fm be preferential broadcaster for tge club being as though they no longer do commentary? Folks like my 89 yr old mother who have no access to t'internet rely on radio. Will t'club be looking to broker a deal with the Beeb in future seasons?
We are trying to get folk interested in the club and where once they may have listened to the radio and thought, 'Wow that sounded like the Stags are playing really well. I might go and see a game next week'.

Now though there's little out there to fuel their imagination. It's certain that they'll not shell out £45 for it.

Are there any more details regarding plans for the Bishop Street Stand?

When will we have the North Stand back?

Has the electricity bill been paid? and more seriously will the floodlight that repeatedly failed tonight be an issue for the Wycombe game?

Getting into the ground last night was a shambles. I arrived thirty minutes before kickoff but did not get in until after they had gone two up. The reasons for this are simple. Firstly only two turnstiles to the IG Upper each end and the bar code readers are not up to scratch. Stewards took our tickets from us and then wafted them around until the gates clicked. This took at least twice as long than if they worked properly.
I've been to away grounds in our league that have much better systems.
If a bar code reader system update is not possible then, as there appears to be a steward at every turnstile so why don't they just tear off the ticket stubs?

Why do we only have one card terminal, which is passed from person to person, at the ticket booths
Surely this is causing the delays we are experiencing.

All the Directors were there which made the low attendance (less than 30 people) very disappointing. As was said at the meeting perhaps all the key board warriors are happy with the state of the club, squad, performance etc. JR and the rest of the Board were very open with matters discussed and I am sure Darren will present a full report.

To be honest, I would say the large majority are happy with how things are going at the moment. Personally, off the field events hold little interest to me compared to what happens on the pitch. Of course I understand that there would be no on the pitch without the off field stuff, but I'm not really interested how thing are run well, as long as they are run well, if that makes any sense.

Just perhaps, some people are at work, or travelling back from work. Or even maybe, they have to stay away due to their work, like myself. Don't make sweeping genormalisation, not everbody has the life of one of the directors!
