Tippy Tappy Football wrote:Interesting that everybody was happy about signing Tom Hopper who participated in a racist sex video but object to Gary Roberts and Danny Hylton for diving or being cheats. I also do not understand how you can compare them with Lee Hughes who was jailed for six years for causing death by dangerous driving. As far as I am aware, neither of them have criminal records.

We also currently have a manager who received a 12 month sentence for tax fraud but the majority of Stags fans are happy with him being our manager (including me) because he does seem to be good at his job.

Im not comparing Hughes with Roberts or Hylton. For all I know they may be very nice people. The link is I wouldn't particularly like seeing any of them in a Stags shirt. But this is hyperthetical as so far none of them have signed for the Stags.

Honestly, what has Roberts ever done wrong to us? Seems, apart from his spell at Chesterfield, a completely irrational hatred.

James it's not hatred. Haven't you ever thought, when Stags have been linked with a player, I hope he doesn't sign ?

How can it be Roberts ? I thought he had been released on a free ? . The striker we are after
requires a fee and it sounds like the midfielder is still at their club

You must be exceptional then, though I don't recall you complaining about Danny's diving.
Its totally on a different level. As witnessed in the last home game with Luton and also on tv.

All diving is cheating . I reckon that Danny Rose diving in a pre season friendly at Matlock is more embarrassing and on a higher lever due to the possible reward than Hylton conning the referee in a game that could have taken his club one step nearer promotion.

If the stags win 1-0 at Accrington in august from a penalty that Danny Rose dived for , then go onto clinch the last promotion spot by one point , is that not on the same level as Hylton diving in the semi final .

Morison isn't that crazy. He's old and his club have just moved up to the championship. He won't be an automatic starter there.

I would take Hylton in a heartbeat. The guy scores goals . The end of the day , it's down to the officials to sort out any wrong doings on the pitch . I believe he got around 16 tyellow cards last season , which must have been a headache for his manager but to still play 39 games shows you how highly rated he must be . Hence his 21 goals in return . A very good record at Oxford to .

Not sure I heard correctly when listening to Radio Nottingham post match but I think Evans said the offer has been made the players manager who today themselves have a big game in the Championship??

So agree Hanson Sheffield united it could be

Sheffield Until already stated Hanson would miss today's game with a slightly tight hamstring.

Or could he be on his way?

Interestingly I thought that all of Rose, Angol, Spencer and Sterling-Moss were very good today.
