The club is sleepy retirement club from the cotswolds. They have no fans and are not deserving of their league status.

Bring back Orient, Tranmere, Stockport or York. Proper clubs from proper places with real fans.

Dale vince can do one too.

Ps. Does anyone remember watching us beat FGR on BT sports during our promotion season. We scored from a terrible corner. One of the worst deliveries i ever did see.

They got to the FL via bankrolling by a rich owner.

That's what got us back in the football league too, just on a smaller scale due to being a much bigger club. Still millions though.

Im not a fan of FGR but to say they are not deserving of their league status is unfair. They won the playoffs fair and square. The fact they have a rich owner is not unusual these days. Also the traditional EFL clubs you mention have had their chance in the EFL and failed.

Failed or unlucky not to have attracted the right investor.
Its all about money these days, will get more so in the near future and will be the ruin of football.
League tables down to level 8 in the future will reflect investment in the majority of cases.
New money teams like Fleetwood, AFC Fylde, FGR, Crawley etc will gradually replace established league or ex league teams (York, Hartlepool, Torquay, Stockport etc) and will survive alone by being bankrolled rather than gate revenue. It will be a lottery as to which team is bankrolled the most.

They are there on merit and they DESERVE to be.....to suggest anything else is idiotic!!

They are a bunch of pitchfork carrot munchers. They have no fans no history no rivals and they force their self righteous "How do you do? I'm a vegan" philosophy in your face all the while.

I agree on the pitch each club is where it is on merit. But some clubs deserve their merit more than other.

Don't see the problem with being vegan... Dale vince is an eco warrior and that's just part of the club. Also their match day food is delicious and we all know we should do more for the planet.

Anyway just popped in to get my ticket, big que in the office as the boys were finishing training.

Alex Macdonald looks in great shape and was full of energy walking in. Jack Thomas was there and was there walking alone. New lad walking at the back, most likely of been a youth team player but he looked big

Met Evans for the first time when I came out of the office and he's genuinely ace, got all the time in the world for fans. He's Very confident ahead of tomorrow! Said they'll get a proper welcome to league football tomorrow afternoon

COYS!

No history?? Formed in 1889 which was about 8 years before us....history doesn't have to be high profile! I'm sure that they have avid and loyal supporters who live and breath their team like every club.

You have stated in an earlier post that you don't hate the fans and that on the pitch they are there on merit.

Good luck to them (except tomorrow) i hope they do well

Yeah its not the fans i hate. I hate the club and its 'holier than thou' self righteousness. Organic this, vegan that. I want them to disappear to whence they came

I don't know what you base your opinion of FGR AWC, but your view is very one sided. I'm sure like all EFL clubs their supporters come from all different backgrounds. If you are correct I expect to see loads of tractors with trailers parked around our stadium tomorrow.

To be honest I don't either like or dislike them, I just want us to beat them.

2 - 0, would be nice with goals from Byron and Angol. Followed by a meat pie to celebrate!!

If not it's a vegitarian pastie for tea!!!

Nope, they've sold out their away travel, I'm guessing that's what you've seen on Facebook?

They'll only bring about 300.

Hmmmm, I can remember Barry Fry's Barnet being mocked when they came into The Football League and we were their first away day. They gave us a right footballing lesson!!,

With Crewe beating them 7-4 the week before at Underhill.
We might win against Accrington next time.

Then drawing 5-5 with Brentford in the League Cup first round first leg!!
21 goals in their first two games as a football league club.
I went to that game thinking we would score a hatful and win probably 4-2 or 5-3.

A draw or loss today and I can see us having a slow/average start to the first 10-15 games... we won't see the best of this squad until january

We came off junction 28 of the M1 at just before 12pm and there were police motorbikes on the roundabout, surely this isn't a police escort for away team coach or fans coach?

Is the gate closed after the game today by the way as I haven't seen any Gabitas tweets.
