Think we'll win this one, we have to really

3-0

Rose, Angol and Sterling-James. 3 goals from 3 strikers, that might shut some up for a few days

Don't think FGR will be a push over, they've got some good players. I'm going 2-1 win.

She's virtually bald compared to some of the plague cart draggers I've seen in Mansfield on a Friday night :P

I think the stags will still be finding form but win 2-1, with goals from Anderson and Rose

All the rain this week means played on swamp of pitch, scrappy 1-0. Serious note well done to ground staff.

Does anyone remember beating them 1-0 at home on a cold and wet first Saturday of October in 2009 back in the conference.
It really pee'd it down that afternoon.
Then only two years later we played them away again on the first Saturday of October and drew 1-1 in 30 degrees of heat.

Christian Doidge will give our defenders a good test in the air. He is a big forward like Chris Porter at Crewe and bagged a brace on Saturday against Barnet.

I think your hatred is perfectly rational to be fair. As you say - the definition of tinpot.

Forest Green were probably just about the friendliest club we visited in the Conference, in my experience.

I'll save my hatred for clubs that deserve it

I dont hate the fans martin.

The club is sleepy retirement club from the cotswolds. They have no fans and are not deserving of their league status.

Bring back Orient, Tranmere, Stockport or York. Proper clubs from proper places with real fans.

Dale vince can do one too.

Ps. Does anyone remember watching us beat FGR on BT sports during our promotion season. We scored from a terrible corner. One of the worst deliveries i ever did see.

Going for inconclusive and dull 1 1 to frustrate the start of the season further.

They created chance after chance against MK Dons and did enough to win...

It will be a tough game as usual but we should win

Talked my wife into us coming home early from holiday for this game.
FGR are no mugs. I expect this to be a very close game.
1-1 or maybe a slim 2-1 win!

The sub Shamir Mullings (signed from Chelmsford) looks a big unit.

I know it's only our second league game but think it would boost our confidence no end by winning it. Going for 2-0 stags goals by Angol and Atkinson.

Haven't we got a terrible record of gifting new Football League clubs their first win in the league?
